Parti... View MoreFlam awoke from a horrible dream. Though it wouldnt have been the first. He had nightmares near daily now, and it did mess with his sleep schedule. Though this dream felt particularly painful. Particularly irritating. And the worst part about it- other than his death- was an odd lack of finality. A conclusion. Perhaps this was due to his waking. Possibly. But he couldnt help but strongly feel a pain in his side. At first he assumed it was old age, but it felt different than that. He coughed lightly as he got up, walking over to the sink, where he turned on the light and filled up a glass of water. He looked at himself in the mirror. He saw clearly the white hair overwhelming his face. He though just for a moment what he missed out on. Doing what needed to be done. He had focused so much on work, so much on survival. So much on... knight. The war. that he... he felt he missed something. He felt it once, surely. He looked into the mirror, and then back into his room. He saw mottled bedsheets and the light of lunas moon peeking through the glass pane. Thats right. He was missing something. Perhaps it was her that he missed. The tan seashell mare who was gone at las pegasus. Or perhaps the brown one that had perished on the trenches, or maybe even the yellow one with firey hair that now looked at him in condemnation or conviction upon monoros's peak. None of them would speak to him. Perhaps for good reason. He frowned abit as he walked to the window, taking the water gently with his magic. He looked onto the feilds. And to a tree that stood above the others on a hill. Like a statue overlooking a feild of graves. He had to see the faces. Those who were left behind in the evactuation blimps. He saw their faces cry out as he ordered the blimp to leave. The faces at the trenches through the reports who fought diligently before getting decimated. And the furious face of Knight as the time prison enveloped him and Gabriel. Trapping the two in what may be an eternal battle. Saving the world. He did save it right? Beyond the trees, a massive metal dome loomed over it all, a cannon poked out of its top aimed at the invaders that no longer came. A weapon of war. A weapon that in the past, nopony even considered developing. Yet there it was. The world had changed. Perhaps it wasnt saved. The old world couldnt have been saved. A world of peace, without weapons. Without a media that tried to antagonise and tried to frame. Weapons that he had created. A world without the idea that someone needed to exist in order to make the world at peace. The world could never be at peace. He could never be at peace. He lay back down into his bed, setting the water on the bedside table. And tried to shut his eyes. Only the faces of those he had abandoned remained.
