Depends on what type of of graphic techniques your planning on using. If your going to use a graphics tablet (aka drawing on a computer) then I 100% recommend using Medibang. Short answer: Medibang for computer or Ibis Paint X for phones or tablets. ... View MoreDepends on what type of of graphic techniques your planning on using. If your going to use a graphics tablet (aka drawing on a computer) then I 100% recommend using Medibang. Short answer: Medibang for computer or Ibis Paint X for phones or tablets. Long answers: Medibang: Medibang is a wonderful free art program that has really good but simplistic resources compared to more advance programs (ex. photoshop, clip stuido paint, Paint tool sai, etc). 1.) You have really good brush options for really any type of drawings styles. Pens that make for really good lineart, or softer brushes for a bit more realistic shading, and even plant based brushes for environmental themes. On top of that, you're also able to create custom brushes! For example, if you want a specific leaf burhs that has realistic shapes then just small blobs. Well the easy route of doing so looking up Medibang foliage brushes on DeviantArt and you'll find plenty of them! From their all you do is import the PNG images in Medi and then bam! Your good to go. Now if your a beginner then you might not dabble in this just yet, but Medibang also has really easy to learn and use layer modes and color balancing tools that make for amazing effects like magic, highlights, and giving images a lot more color without having to completely redo everything Ibis Paint X: Now if your using a phone or normal tablet then Ibis Paint X is also a really cool app. Not exactly beginner friendly, but defiantly one of the more easier :free" mobile apps. And I say "free" because not all features are available but beginners probably wont use most of them anyway. I don't 100% understand how Ibis works quiet yet, but they have a built in search menu that allows users to find customs brush (but it's really hard to make your own), user made tutorials for different subjects like how to draw and color eyes, or create crisp lineart, or even how to simply blend colors! Medibang is available on mobile devices but is a lot harder to learn and you have to pay for features unlike the computer version :(
