Pl... View More|Twelve Days Ago| Autumn sat on the couch in her parent's living room, her fingers idly tapping her leg as she waits patiently for them to speak. Unsure if she should be the first one to speak up. Plus, she didn't want to chance accidentally speaking when they do, causing one of those (definitely) unoriginal, embarrassing moments. A masculine grunt from across the room caused her to look up instantly, her dad was finally about to say something. "Where have you been?" It took a lot for her to not explode and rush out the door. They hadn't seen her in years and that's the biggest question he had? Her mom, on the other hand, smacked the back of his head, earning another grunt and her father looking away. Autumn's mom looked to her, "Autumn, your father just missed you. We both did. We were worried! You vanished, leaving only your note. We were worried something happened to you, too..." Autumn's ears lowered against her head as she looked down at her hands resting on her thighs. "I-I'm sorry, I really am. I just...I needed air! I needed to just, you know... spread my wings and find new footing on my own. I felt... I felt caged here. Not in the house, just here in Ponyville." "Why would you feel caged?" her mother asked. "I didn't think I could go anywhere with my work...like everything was so focused on others who were making big, heroic differences here, it just made my work seem...superfluous. Then I got to the Crystal Empire, and after their first games, it turned out the same way..." Autumn sighed, her head lowering further as she drooped. "A-after... after Spring passed, I just didn't know what to do anymore, you were both so busy and I felt bad interfering..." Tears had welled up in her eyes as she clutched the base of her skirt, a small tremble running through her body. At the mention of Spring, her father stood- towering over her -and stepped closer. She tensed up only to find him wrapping his arms around her and lifting the young mare up in a tight hug. "We all hurt after Spring, little Bow, but we know you hurt the most. We aren't mad at you, Summer was right. We missed you, and you know we love you." Summer stood, hugging onto the two as well, "and you know Spring loved you more than anything. You were her little sister, and no one can take that away from her. I just wished they'd never taken her from you... "But, please, we can talk about all of that later. It's Hearth's Warming! And we have a gift we've always wanted to give you." Once the three separated, Autumn looked at her mother quizzically. "What would that be?" Summer vanished into the other room, returning a mere moment later with a small box. She opened it, took a deep breath, and pulled out a little green bow. Embroidered in it were a few words and Autumn didn't need to read it to know as Summer tied it into her hair. It was something Spring always said. "I...um, didn't really bring anything for you both, b-but...I do have some news...? I have a special someone now. He's really sweet, caring, loving even! Plus, handsome as can be!" "Any kids yet?" "Silver! She said he's a special someone! Not her husband! Slow down!" Summer once more whacked him across the back of his head, which he rubbed and chuckled. Autumn groaned, rubbing her blushing cheeks. "I love you two, but I'd rather not talk about, uh...that.." "Winter is for family, Spring is for togetherness, Summer is for family, Autumn is the spark of it all"~ Spring
