View MoreThroughout the thorough explanation of the mechanics behind this whole tool the large knight was silent, simply deciding to listen rather than speak up and interrupt the stranger explaining a matter he frankly knew very little of. As she spoke his eyes travelled along the weapon, noting the vented barrel as she spoke of it with a nod of understanding and a quiet grunt as if to tell her he was following along. “I see… It’s crude, but so is death. Only natural its tools look the part.” He made a silent note to himself of the things she explained. He was no marksman, hence his preference for a more close quarters approach with his shield and blade, but such a tool would make handling significantly larger creatures far easier to handle on his own. His eyes would shift to her large hand as it rested upon his armoured shoulder, slowly lifting up to meet her gaze as he questioned what he was. He’d glance down at the firearm before focusing back up to her. “I’m no bounty hunter, I’m just-..” He trailed off into brief silence, unsure truly what to call himself. “Just a drifter these days. Offering my shield to those who need it.” He stated with certainty. “A tool like this would certainly make it easier….” As the little filly came scurrying out his attention was briefly shifted to her, noting the skull painted across her face. He said nothing to the young one, giving them a simple and reassuring nod to merely come across friendly before he focused in on the map, specifically where Mama had pointed with a claw. He leaned in and observed the map, listening to her describe this place they saw as home. “Hm..” The knight grunted quietly beneath his helm, straightening up. He glanced at the filly again, listening closely to how she described this place as the ‘best place in the world’. He’d lift his gaze back to Mama, speaking up to break his silence. “I won’t meddle in the crime of these lawless lands, but if I can help make this ‘Oasis’ safer for the ones who need it most you merely need to ask.”
