Adventure Awaits!

Fall, 2015, Ponyville High School. (https://youtu.be/kQ1IuVQ81KU?si=fN3DfnLrnPMMyX25) Inside an unused shed just beyond Ponyville High's Softball field, a group of 6 students sit around a rickety, old, wooden table. On the front of the shed, there's a small, hand-made banner which reads 'Adventure Club'. Inside, a box fan works overtime to keep the occupants from dying of heat stroke. On the back wall, there's a map of Ponyville, and the surrounding area, with multiple locations on it marked with thumb tacks, and handwritten notes. In front of said map stands the club's president, Austin. A large earth pony, with a shaggy, yellow mane, featuring a single, red stripe down the right side. He sports the school's Letterman jacket, identifying him as the school football team's star Half Back.  To his right, stands the vice president of the club, Amy. An earth pony girl, who is a full head and a half shorter than the president. She sports a long, wavy brown mane, and peach colored fur. Beside her, sits a female gryphon, Tipps, who sports gray, and brown feathers, and a silver piercing on her right eyebrow. In the next seat over, sits a pegasus boy, Andy. He sports a rather 'nerdy' bowl haircut, a pair of thick rimmed glasses, and a satchel based off of one his favorite video game protagonist wears. Next to him sits a dragon with earthy, brown scales, aviator sunglasses, and a bright blue headband atop his head. He hasn't given the club his name, so they just call him 'The Rock', due to his love of wrestling. Then, to the left of the president, sits a 17 year old Nar. He sports his usual straw hat, but instead of the hawaiian shirt he'd grow fond of later, he currently wears a plain yellow t-shirt under an open, sleek, black jacket. "Alright guys!" The president begins. "The first ever meeting of the Ponyville High School Adventure Club is now in session!" He claps his hands together, and the others in the shed let out a cheer. "So!" He pauses for a moment, and reaches up to scratch the back of his head. "Where uh... Where do we want to adventure first?" Before anyone can answer, Andy raises his hand. He waits patiently until Austin calls his name before speaking. "Shouldn't we discuss what kinds of supplies we're going to need before we start adventuring? Like clothing, food, water, backpacks, and all that stuff?" Austin nods. "Good call Andy. We probably should get through all the boring stuff before we plan our  first adventure, huh?" For the next hour, the club discusses a variety of logistical issues. Nar doesn't really pay all that much attention, but he does make sure to take notes on the things the club agrees on. Still, he doesn't much check into the conversation until the boring stuff finishes, and Austin brings up the question of their first expedition again. "What about the Everfree?" Suggest Tipps. "Even experienced adventurers can get lost in there. Best we start out somewhere else." Replies Amy. "There's some woods to the east of the school. What about there?" Asks Andy. The Rock quickly objects. "We're the Adventure Club! Not the camping club!" While the rest of the club discusses further, Nar begins to reach into the recesses of his mind to look for something to input. He's been quiet this whole meeting, so he figures he should speak up at least once. "What about High Rock? That cliff to the north?" The rest of the club begins to murmur. Austin raises an eyebrow. "Hey, that's not a bad idea!" The others appear to nod in agreement. Austin claps his hands together, and smiles wide. "Right then! It's settled! Our first adventure will be to High Rock!" The club shed fills with cheers, and Nar congratulates himself on such a great idea.
