While browsing through one of the antique shops in Manehattan, a box full of floppy disks caught your eye. The box was labeled with a price of 5 bits, and if you were part of the membership, it was free. ( You can decide whether you have the membership or not )  After checking out, with the box of floppy disks and an audio device that could play them, you headed toward where you were staying.
The device you bought was one that only played audio, but didn't have any means of showing any visuals. But it was the best thing they had at the time. When you got home, you put batteries into the audio player and put in the first floppy disk labeled " A New World."
Static consumed the device. Through the static, there was a small, distorted voice, barely loud enough to be understood. That voice was very distorted, deep, and emotionless. It's like if a broken computer could talk.
" I can feel it wearing me like a costume. It's making me watch it as it takes my place. I can still feel. I can still see. The seventh element should've remained where I found it. "
Then the static was gone, and so was the voice. All that was replaced with Silent's voice.
" Okay, is this thing on?.... Oh, yep. It's flashing green, alright. Good to know the equipment still works. Day: 1 of the expedition. I am Silent V Dusk. My team and I recently crossed the northern seas. Barely an hour ago, but we've already found land. It's wild and overgrown, similar to the Everfree, but it somehow feels more... aware. I'm not sure why I think that, Its's just a hunch. Anywho, we have one objective here: Find an herb known as Romanian Pollip, and if we have time, see what all the commotion has been about a few miles down the coast. Multiple investigation teams have been sent, but they either came back with nothing or didn't come back at all. I'll keep updating this digital journal of mine later; for now, I need to help set up our temporary camp here. Signing off. "
The recording ended with a click. Was this some sort of horror project? Or was it something real? As far as Equestria knows, there isn't anything that could wear your skin and pretend to be you. Maybe you'll take a few days before you pop in the next one. Hopefully, there'll be answers in the next one.
