View Morewhat are some of y'alls favorite tropes/dynamics? these can be for friends, enemies, or whatever else floats your boat! personally, I'm in love with a whole list of tropes. click read more at your own risk <3 1. platonic or romantic. my very favorite: both soft. they're nerds and love each other very much. it's healthy and good, and they do nice things like sit together to drink tea and read each other's favorite books. 1b. the opposite of my very favorite, but somehow still my favorite: both absolute wrecks who don't know what they're doing, but together c: probably very unhealthy and traumatized, want to improve and work together to do so, even if it takes a very long time and they can't fully heal. NOT the toxic kind, we do not like toxic buddies that enable each others' worst aspects in this house >:c may eventually go their separate ways once they're ready, but will still cherish their friendship and speak fondly of each other. most importantly, they are later reunited as healthy and functional individuals, and develop into confident agents of chaos!! constantly have each others' backs and trust each other to the ends of the earth. 2. platonic or romantic. clueless bean(A) befriends monster/eldritch horror/villain(B) by being aggressively unaware that they should be frightened c: i.e.: demon shows up to steal soul, is offered tea and biscuits, now they're penpals and hang out. this is one of my favorite for slice-of-life, just cause I think it's very wholesome and pleasant <3 oh!! and it's almost always fun to draw. also good when A is new to a place where B is despised/feared/outcast for whatever reason, ideally a multifaceted one, and has acclimated to a lack of friends, but A shows up like "you GOTTA come to [insert social event hosted by A here]" and manages to help B fix their reputation c: (actually I like literally any variation of smol + scary thanks for coming to my TED talk) 3. platonic. immortal(A)/reincarnated soul(B) A has seen B die tens or hundreds of times, but cares for them deeply and always finds them again when they are reborn. A acts as a mentor/guardian to B, doing their best to help B have a good and happy life. note: I hate this as a romantic pairing <3 that's icky yucky, not good, I will cry! 4. enemies forced to work together for a common goal, usually in the form of a long quest! in the process, they bond as people and hate each other less. when they return, however, they have to be enemies again because of some greater evil that's in charge of the 'evil' one of the enemies or some greater good that's in charge of the 'good' one. good for moral gray areas! 5. platonic, enemies, or romantic. high society settings that force characters to be very polite and follow strict mannerisms, and so everything they say and do is very calculated on their part. can play like mental warfare; good for exploring characters' psyche and drawing everyone in fancy ballgowns or suits c: 6. they only have one (1) combined brain cell and it's wired for chaos

very valid!! that’s a very rare combination to find, but I gotta agree that it’s absolutely mesmerizing to watch characters like that interact c: (also, bonus points for how gorgeous both of their designs are. 11/10)
