View MoreA peaceful day - was it a day? Mirror could never quite tell anymore, walking between twisting roots and grasping branches, mazes of thorns and patches of flowers that were so bizarre as to seem totally alien to the witch. Darkness shrouded the woods in which she trod; her home itself seemed filled with spite and grief, moreso even than Mirror herself. She had been doing alright lately. Not well, not by any means, but better than she had been. Mirror had finally taken a stand in reclaiming the cottage in the woods. Every possession of Faith's had been cleared out, her own rearranged, such that it looked quite empty now. Turning right, Mirror was at once confronted with a strange new... hollow. It might once have been a clearing. No longer. Just as the rest of her forest, it was dark, surrounded by thick branches and vines which seemed to weave between one another to form a wall. This wasn't the first one she had stumbled across, or she might have been alarmed. No, these had been cropping up in more and more places as of late. Every path that should have led her out of the forest ended just the same. As far as she could tell, no one could get in, just as she could not get out. The forest was protecting her, in its own way. She was trapped. Not so long ago, the thought might have driven Mirror to anger. Now? The witch simply sighed and turned back. To be angry seemed so very fruitless. Nothing could be gained from being upset by the situation - all she could do was keep looking for a solution. A path without a roadblock, or some way to regain control of the magic that was so deeply ingrained into the wandering woods. Mirror didn't need a way out. Not really. She could sustain herself in these woods as long as she needed to. She wanted one. She missed that tiny connection to the outside world, the possibility of coming across travelers and of going traveling. She missed, well... having friends. Or at least acquaintances. Without so much as a sigh, Mirror began the trek down a new path, her horn shedding just enough light to see by. #rp
