On the second floor of the manor, a young stallion of 19 hudd... View MoreThe sound of gunfire echoes throughout the Lone Star Manor. Voices shout, and are answered with the pop of revolvers, and crack of rifles. On the second floor of the manor, a young stallion of 19 huddles behind an oak desk. Two bandits stand beside the doorway, ready to ambush the manor's attackers the moment they get up the stairs. The young stallion had ran in here to hide the moment the firefight started, and these two haven't noticed him yet. Chances are if they do, they'll use him as a meat shield. The sound of boot steps coming up the stairs echoes into the room. The two bandits ready their revolvers. The boot steps reach the top of the stairs. One bandit quickly pops out to fire off a shot with his revolver, only for his bullet to hit nothing. Then, pink mist jets out the back of his head for a moment, and he crumples to the floor. The second bandit stifles a curse, and tightens his grip on his revolver. His view shoots up from his fallen comrade just in time to see a sharply dressed unicorn aiming a more modern pistol at him. Before he can get his revolver into position, the unicorn pulls the trigger twice, and the bandit collapses in a heap. The young stallion behind the desk clamps his hands over his mouth as he fights to control the whimpers coming from it. Silently, he prays to King Artemis to forgive him for his crimes. Multiple boot steps pass by the room, as an older man shouts orders to others. As they pass the room, the young stallion thanks Artemis for his mercy. The sound of a slow, deliberate boot step sends ice rushing through the young stallion's veins. Though he tries, he cannot stop himself from shaking in terror. The boot steps get closer, and closer, until a figure comes into view. Terrified, the young stallion looks up to see the Dawn Ranger, Dusty Trails, pointing his revolver at him. The stallion throws his arms out in front him with a cry of "Wait!" Dusty does not fire. "Ah ain't never hurt no one!" The stallion cries. "Ah just do grunt work at tha manor!" The rangers eyes are full of nothing but disgust, and malice. When he speaks, his voice is low, and gravely. "Think yer buddies cared when the little boy they shot dead begged for his life?" The young stallion cries out. BANG The room is now quiet. #rp
