View MoreNestled deep within the muddy waters, tall trees, and overgrown vines sits a small town, cradled in some of the only solid ground the swamp has to offer. Moorsville was far from what one may consider thriving, but it was enough for the few dozen residents. While the majority of the townsfolk were what one would expect from a swamp town, their mayor was more befitting a sprawling city. A man who always dressed in a suit and tie, used big, confusing words, and claimed his town to be "pristine", and "A jewel among the swamp." Neither of which a visitor would suspect during their visit. A man stands in the town square, waving a plank of wood which appears to have been bitten in half by some sort of beast. He's surrounded by about two dozen townsfolk, all listening as he shouts as if toy be heard by the whole town. "It's the Cairex ah tells yah! It's comin' fer our chilluns, an' then it'll feast on us!" Usually, the townsfolk ignored the ramblings of Ol Mad Bill. However, after news of Fisher Sherman being attacked, the townspeople were suddenly much more eager to hear what he had to say. As Ol Mad Bill rants, and raves, stirring anxiety, and fear amongst the townsfolk, their mayor finally decides he's heard enough. The mayor steps out of his office, and raises his hands/hooves. "Good townspeople please! I assure you no one's children are going to be eaten! Not will we! Lord Ridgewell has assured us that this creature will not come near the town, and that he and his men will have it killed before the end of the week! Please calm yourselves and go about your business! We're in good hands!" Deep within the belly of the swamp, Lord Amadeus Ridgewell II, and his hunting party wade through chest high water on their way to a vantage point. The point is a rather large cropping of rocks 3 miles north of the town. Even with the dense foliage, the hunting party will be able to not only see the town, but survey the areas around it. Lord Ridgewell hopes to spot signs of the beast's movements in order to decide upon a location to set a trap for it. As the townspeople begin to retire for the night, Lord Ridgewell and his party scour the swamp with looking glasses, and binoculars. With any luck, they'll be prepared to spring a trap as early as tomorrow afternoon. #rp
