Her eyes wandered, not particularly subtle in evaluating Cotton from top to tail as she spoke. “Cotton Tail,” Vanil repeated, then gave a light snort, and then a similarly light cough as to not appear too rude. “Adorable. Catchy, too.” and with a flick of her hoof, she delicately withdrew from the shaq, and raised a brow at the hybrid’s bold demeanor. But then came the praise. The targeted, ardent kind. She couldn't help it, and a slow, self-satisfied smirk bloomed across Vanil’s lips. She hummed, low and pleased, as Cotton continued, every syllable apparently massaging some part of her ego. "Mmh. Legit, you say?” she cooed, her voice softening with faux disbelief, and tossed her mane back. “Oh, I know what you mean. There's a reason why the brand skyrocketed outside of Equestria.”. Her tone was airily smug, and the vigor sway of her tail projects her pleasure. Speech check passed. She then circled the hybrid, just once, her expression contemplative, and with that, her first impression of Cotton was *mostly* complete. “You’re bold, although quite the reckless one. Had it not been for you rectifying your mistakes, well..." and she left that sentence to hang; the implications speaks for itself. “You have good taste. And your look...nontraditional. Eye-catching. Nature's walking contradiction, in all the best ways." She paused, then leaned in just slightly, lowering her voice to a velvet whisper. "You can cease trying to curry favor with saccharine words. It's done its job. Now, let me reciprocate: you wouldn’t happen to be looking for seasonal work, would you?” With a flick of her head, she gestured toward a nearby stand of umbrellas and lounge chairs, where the camera crew waited, glitter still stuck to the fabric of one. “We’re short a couple of expressive types for our Renü-S line, and you do express. Maybe you'll even impress." Vanil barely waited for an answer before turning her back and trotted off, sparing Cotton one last look “Come by the tent after you’re done playing janitor. We’ll see if you have more fire than your breath."
