Every day I wake up and it is something new. Not to mention I have so much to lose. So many depend on ny generosity that I would do anything to see their smiles of gratitude again. It scares me. It scares every part of me. For now though.
It's another day. Hallow shades. How grim.
Brimsyone would show up to a small town outside of hallow shades called "The Corner of the Earth" or The land of ghosts. Once named Honeywell, the town burnt to the ground from monster hunting murderers. What a cruel fate we endured that day. I had lost so much. Never again.
Since then, Honeywell had since grown back to its old populace. Yet I still get stares just like before. A damn Gargoyle. Bad omens to come. "Someone was going to die today", They would mutter like venom. Sadly, there was nothing to be said. No one woukd trust a person like Brimstone here. It's ingraned into their minds. That fateful day.
Fire rose from the dirt to smite them all. Vampires who lived rather peaceful. Gargoyle's are protective guardians but are known to eat people who aren't their masters. He'd be wrong if he didn't get an urge. A hunger that is never satisfied. Brim would reach a doorstep and peolle went full alarm. A vampire kid would pull on his arm and he looked down at her. "Don't eat her mister Gargoyle! Leave her alone you meanie!"
Brim would look back at the door as it open. "What's this commotion abou-" The little old equestrian woman would look up at hin with wide eyes. She wore a cloak and looked somewhat like a Babushka. She was beatutiful for her age. Long grey mane and deep red fur. Her eyes burned with crimson.
The woman would have her mouth wide open. "Brimmy? I-Is that you?" She dropped her cane to reach out to him. She looked at him like she had seen ghost. Tears welled in her eyes. "My baby!?" Brim gently grabbed her arms. It was hard not getting emotional. His eyes welling up as well.
"I'm home Petya. Grandma." The village people stared in awe with red watching eyes. Petya would reach to hug onto him as she would weep into his stomach. "Come on... You'll make me emotional too." Brimston would look down at her with a sad look.
Petya would wipe her tears and said. "I could see your mothers eyes from a mile away, boy! They were always so beautiful." She touched his face. "I can't believe it. I thought you were dead, Brimmy." She let go of him but grab his hand. Brimstone would quickly grab her cane as she led him.
Petya would sit him down. "Coffee or tea? Chocolate Milk even? Your favorite." Brim would itch his bandaged body. "I-I'm not a kid anymore. " Petya would laugh and say. "You'll always be a baby to me, young man!" She would have come in with a coffee and chocolate milk.
She gave him the milk. It was embarrassing but what a nostalgic moment. This building was left untouched believe it or not. It was like he was a kid again. He would grasp the milk which had the spoon in it. He loved chocolate milk so much he always left the spoon to casually slurp it with the spoon to savor it.
He would have grabbed it to do exactly that. Savored every slip. It was amazing. She would sit next to him on her little couch. "Let's see under the wraps, kid." His ears perked up and then back down. "A-Are you sure? I am not..." She huffed and nodded. "Of course! Show me young man!" He would undo his wraping starting from head and down to his chest.
He had ghoulish white skin and long ears. His ears had patches of black fur on the tips. His skull was fully exposed on the right side of his face and had tight skin grasping as is melted on.
Petya would have her eyes wide. Her eyes would well up again. "I-it really is you. My boy. What have they done to my beautiful boy. What would your mother say to this scar." He shook his head.
"This scar is simply a choice. I want to always remember our family. My equestrian parents. Your daughter and her fiancee. " Petya frowned and said. "Your mother always loved you kids. You have to move on and see your mother."
Brimstone grit his teeth. Not what he wanted to hear. "She didn't love me enough to see me. To witness me. To care. She had a bunch of equestrians when she knew of the potential. She knew I could have k-" Petya would slap her hand onto the desk.
"You would never, Brimmy. You were a good boy. I know she wasn't in your life but she is so torn over the loss. She hasn't been out of that house for years, please Brimstone! See your mother!" Brimstone would stand up and said. "I'll be back. I have a job to do here." He would start to walk out as she yelled out his name desperately
"Brimmy! Come back! I-I won't be sorry! Please don't go!" He would slam the door behind him. Brimstone would lean into the door and fall onto his butt. Everyone would gather around him. Brimstone would wrap himself in his clothing as he got up to quickly evacuate.
Petya would come outside and said. "You should all be ashamed of yourselves! That is not how you treat people. I hope you have the guts to say your sorry when he comes back. He's... He's my baby boy!" The vampires would look around akwardly as they got berated.
Venera Allmine. What a sore subject. She was right though. It was time to bury the hatchet and open pandora's box.
