Equestria, the land with a long and confusing past. One that most think has been explored through the popular play, Equestria's Beginning. And most think that that's all there is to it. Just three tribes who faught, came to understanding, formed the land you walk on, and ruled over their land together without a hitch..... How wrong everypony was. Beneath the covering over Equestria's history of friendship, harmony, and magic, is a truth that is hidden with good reason. Equestria only stands because of one devision that few even heard of. The only reference to their order is via ancient scrolls and scripts that are mostly looked upon as fairy tales. The Hidden Ones, as described in one instance, " A group of ponies who all have lost something to a force beyond Equestria, and now with their dark sides brought out and put front and center, they now fight for the world they were born into. Hardly any asked for this life, but all who are chosen, never leave the order, not because of restriction, but because of commitment. "
As stated previously, most of these texts were looked upon as creative projects, fairy tales, stories to keep foals up at night. But, while the residence enjoy the land the Royal Sisters rule over, just beyond the borders, a ruthless faction is attempting to get in. They only go by one name. The Uruk. A government run by self-superiority, and slavery. They've been a faction for thousands of years now, and their rituals are rather extreme. For example, only earth ponies are allowed to fight. If a unicorn or pegasus wishes to join, they have their wings or horn cut off. Unless they are the offspring of a war chief.
The Hidden Ones have been fighting since Equestria's founding to keep them out. If they got in, it would be back to the dark ages of Discord's rule, only much more oppressive. Put short, Equestria is only standing because of ponies putting their wants and needs last, and putting their life on the line. But, every few generation, there would be what they called a Gen: Z. A pony that was not just deadly, but smart. Their dark side is not fully taking over, but is definitely present. And the first case of this was two sisters and brother who had recently lost their whole family to the Uruk's spec ops unit, the Soul Reapers.
Ever since they joined, they haven't stopped. And thanks to an elixir that was only given to the Elite of the Hidden Ones' ranks, they still do so today. The three are ruthless, brutal, unforgiving, and most of all, filled to the brim with grief.... and rage. Two of them, the brother and one of the sisters, work in a pair. They've earned themselves the name Cloak & Dagger. And the other sister has risen up the ranks, and now leads the group. The thing about these three is that they've all gone on missions that would be considered suicide the most. Holding positions against entire batalions, a reactor core rigged the combust, and even faced down multiple war chiefs at a time. The three did all of thpose, and they crawled out successfully each and every time.
Because of warriors like these, Equestria stands and keeps on. But, while they have quality on their side, quality is pointed heavily toward the Uruk's side. Put short, a gash could break open. They could swarm in. One of their secret police could open a weekpoint. Then the the rest of Equestria will have to live in fear again, wich is exactly what the Hidden Ones want to avoid.
For now, Equestria remains guarded. But, the Hidden Ones are going to need luck if they want to pull through this conflict alive. If these three contenue to do what they do, Equestria may have a chance. For now, let's zoom into one of these three and one of their many endevors. Today's subject will be the first sister, Roxy Dusk.
