A dazzling new day broke through Bee's curtains, to find her already lacing up her leather gauntlets for what promised to be a grand adventure. Birds greeted the sun from the trees outside. She tied her leather pouch on and slipped her red cloak over her head - up went the hood, just covering the two sharp horns between her ears, and it was time to get started!
Bee moved almost silently down the tavern's stairs. She tossed a few bits in the tip jar on her way to the door, as not even the own...

None would have dared notice the disappearance of the occasional castle staff member, for the fear of meeting a similar fate, and certainly they didn't ask why they'd been promoted to a role that had been filled for years.
This meant that the maids, the cooks, even the guards, all kept to themselves. It made for a very lonely castle, and was lonelier still for Blind Faith. She'd once been the general of the queen's personal guard. When she lost her vision to an injury in combat, she was given...

When at last the day of the festival dawned, Hebe rose with the sun, too excited to be tired. She did not have much to prepare, but she found that a white linen gown had been laid out for her, and so she put it on and brushed her curls free of knots, humming a bubbly tune all the while. Then she looked in the mirror hanging on her wall and smiled at herself. At last - at last, she was to see those she loved again. Her heart raced at the thought.
Two brusque knocks came at the door, as always ...

The late summer heat was bearing down, rendering many to seek the shelter of their homes as soon as they could, surrounded by fans, air conditioning, or even pools if they were so lucky. However, being deep in the Everfree did have one good thing going for it. The trees blocked out most of the sunlight, leaving the forest floor cool and calm, albeit a bit damp in some places. Light filtered through the green leaves, allowing small spears of sun to pierce through to the ground.
Spirit sucked ...

Prince Aster's obsession grew only greater as each day passed. He took no food or rest, and would not see anyone. The kingdom trembled on the verge of falling.
And then a rumor whispered from the shadows crept into the castle and into the royal court, where it found the prince.
All at once his demeanor changed, he spoke with his subjects in the streets and even threw open feasts, as if all his love for Jonquil had turned to his subjects. None could complain, for he personally made certain ...

Spirit’s eyes shot open. A cold sweat broke against her brow. She slowly moved herself up to a sitting position on her small cot, resting a hoof against her face. She didn’t know why she woke up. It must have just been another nightmare. Though usually she remembered them, this one slipped through her memory like sand through a sieve. She inhaled slowly, and exhaled again. It was fine. She was fine. She just needed to try and get back to sleep.
A sound. Glass cracking? What… was that? He...

Canterlot was quiet in the heat of the day. The sun reflected and refracted off the white stone buildings, causing the cobble streets to be nearly unwalkable surfaces. But Spirit didn’t mind this. She’d felt worse, for sure. She had something much more important to deal with than nurse burned hooves today, after all. And she knew she’d not be on the stone for long. She would pause outside of the gate that she needed, before sucking in a deep breath. Canterlot Hills Cemetery.
Soon, her hoo...

Long ago, before the formation of a unifying government, pony folk lived in small kingdoms scattered across the land. These kingdoms were overseen by those who possessed strong magical artifacts, particularly protective ones. Power of the artifact translated exactly to power for the owner and thusly to control of those with lesser magics. As one could rightly assume this lead not infrequently to tyrannical rulers who isolated those under their command, lest they be swayed to the side of a compet...

It had been a problem for quite some time. Something was in these woods, other than Spirit. Another hunter. But not one that deserved the title. Spirit had found bodies of creatures within the woods. Some monstrous and others… not so much. Dryads, and Timberwolves lay among Blight and Void. And as if killing them wasn’t enough, they always seemed…. Almost mutilated. Light slashes marking out letters and runes. A thousand cuts. The battlefield around them seemed only slightly scuffed, like ...

The siren blares, deafening the sounds of hurrying hoofsteps clacking across a freshly polished tile. Young Cynbel at the ripe age of eleven, was running for his dear life while he wore a tattered black robe. He heard the various shouts, all demanding for the young alchemist's apprehension, but as he bolted past the door, he heard their increased panic. A crossbow bolt flung past him, embedding itself into a steel door that bent into a turn.
"Shoot to kill!" one of them cried.
Cynbel was soo...

“This is it. I’m dyin’...†a bed-ridden Carmine wheezed from beneath his many, many sheets in his king-sized bed while a thermometer was balanced beneath his tongue. Sweatdrops drizzled down his face like condensation for a cold glass. Despite all the blankets keeping him warm, he still felt like he was encased in ice.
His friend and current caretaker, Asuka, heard his exaggerated statement and answered it with a roll of her eyes as she set a bowl of soup on his bedside nightstand. â...

A soft smile makes its way across her face as she tenderly holds an ornament. A angelic figure, appearing to be an alicorn, holding a candle in each of their crossed forehooves, and draped in a deep red robe with golden ribbing on the edges as well as the bow. Their wings are golden in color and the mane flows softly and gently over the shoulders, encasing their face, and their tail circles the body in a loose circle. The horn separates the mane starkly, holding up a ring.

------STEEL SPARTANS, PRIVATE SECURITY COMPANY. FILLYDELPHIA. [10:43 PM]---------
The night was chaotic and loud like an amateur band playing at a seedy little venue. A chorus of background noise that painted a putrid scene. The jarring alarm acted as the metronome, setting the beat for the pule abominations of magic-fused flesh crawling the hallways while the bass of clay golems pounded at the only room in which the music hadn’t reached. Each note sent a bigger dent in the metal door, the he...

Everything was quiet. Ponies trotted along, talking flamboyantly among themselves with jubilance. The shouts of peddlers trying to sell their wares and the buyers arguing or negotiating right back. The chittering of rats and other pests scurrying about trying to find any scraps that hadn't been cleaned by one of the many homeless that took refuge on the streets. Despite all this, the world was desolately empty, audio void of its existence in this alley. Everything was quiet.
A cardboard wreck...

Everything felt like a dream. Floaty. Carmine felt as if his soul was buoyantly floating above his body and kept from soaring away by a rope tied at his neck. The rope was... cold. Metallic. No, his senses were starting to come back. Vision was restoring... he saw a myriad of blurry shapes, moving and squabbling. What were they saying? He was hearing words, but he couldn't understand them. Screams. Pleas for mercy. As his eyes began to wake up, the blurry shapes began to transition to their true...

Many years ago, there were only hills in the area near the forest, thick and rolling, natural wild flowers growing atop them. Fertile and empty, the land was left alone for quite some time, waiting for the right group to come across it...And one day they did. Two rabbit beastkins, a sailor and a florist, came here to settle. Taking inspiration from ancient ancestors, the two began to create their home on the side of a hill, lovingly dubbed ‘The Burrow’. Over time wildflowers were joined by c...

The air that was once calm and soft became increasingly humid and thick to breathe. The beautiful forest scenery began to melt and metamorphose into a swampy waste with dangerous cliffs and crags. The colors of the environment began to turn dark greys and greens, beautiful deciduous trees fading away to overhanging and gloomy coniferous flora. The swamps were murky, hiding whatever critters or dangers that called this hostile environment home. They could hear the calls of wild birds, scavengers ...

FZZZsssst. FZZsst. FZZZSSsssst.
Amity sighed quietly as sweat dripped down from his brow. He'd grunt every time he'd attempt to focus, his horn going from dull blue to a deep cyan as his magic rose with intensity. Gritting his teeth, a soft aura formed around a small rock in front of him on the ground. It would start to wobble and shake, matching the intensity of the glow from Amity's horn.
"GAH!" The red stallion's horn sparked out, leaving a few shallow scorch marks against Amity's foreh...

Albho was a very small village hidden inside a cave deep within the Crystal Mountains, a veritable asylum close to the Frozen North. Despite it being a cave, there was a luminescence shimmering from the town, gems and crystals lining the roof of the cave above the wooden huts and cabins that the inhabitants called home. Unlike most villages and cities, there were a variety of species living here: Pegasi that had developed thicker and more complex feather layers, griffins with similar adaptations...

[ As one of the founding members of Lore Gang, It turns out I've already covered most of Zerathur's lore in this old blog right here. So, I've decided to update it, re-write it, give the full treatment, you know? This is just a resumed version as well, so I can write a couple more blogs telling stories in between the big events if people want... I even have a couple planned. >3> ]
Let's start from the beginning, shall we?
Long ago, four tribes of ponies lived peacefully in the Northern are...
