She hated paperwork, but it was an integral part of her job. If she didn't do it, there's the chance the missing paperwork/information could cause problems down the road.
While in the process of typing up a report on the "Children of the Broken Path" Hiari's gut begins to churn. Terrible unease washes over her body as her mind begins to drift.
The familiar scent of brown sugar cinnamon cookies begins to tug Hiari's thoughts towards her sister. She allows herself a smile at the memories of he two baking cookies for their mother on Mother's Day all those years ago. Hiari then shudders as the unease dredges its way back into the forefront of her mind.
For a few moments Hiari looks to the ceiling, and focuses hard on seeing beyond the tile above her. She closes her eyes, takes a deep breath, and quietly makes a wish to see her sister in person again soon. Alongside a wish that she'll be able to fulfill whatever that 'grand plan' of hers was.
With her quick wish over Hiari heaves a sigh, and returns to her paperwork. She's going to need to get this done quickly if she wants any hope of going to Dingbats Grill with the guys later tonight. #rp

She'd managed to make her way into Baltimare around 7 PM last night. Following an uneasy nights rest Hiari contacted her boss, and was in the EAI office in Baltimare only an hour after she woke up.
She'd spent all day in a debrief, and the coffee/food they offered her hardly helped her lack of sleep. With what information she'd gathered it seemed like the brass might form some plan of action to take down the freaks. Though Hiari's pay grade wasn't high enough for her to know any of that. At best she'd get an after action report to tell her the bare bones of what went down afterwards, but she doubted she'd get even that.
With her 14 hour long debrief finally over, Hiari is able to find a couch in the office, and get some sleep. Technically she's not supposed to do this, but if nobody stops her, she's not going to stop. #rp

View MoreUsually, Hiari tried to spend more than a month with whatever organization she was trying to get dirt on, but these cult guys were something else. They called themselves "The Children of the Broken Path", and they were a whole new brand of insane.
They called their priests 'Pathlayers', and Hiari couldn't even begin to describe the depths of their depravity. Sermons that they screamed throughout the halls while the lower ranking cultists trudged behind them like mindless zombies. Excessive rituals involving acts of self-mutilation so horrendous that not even the most hardened of minds could stand to watch. The robes they wore to cover their horridly malformed bodies. Could they even be considered equestrian anymore?
She couldn't do it anymore. All the screaming, the strange noises when she tried to sleep, the people who watched her when she slept, and the blood. Oh monarchs all the blood. These guys were freaks, and they needed to be stopped.
Hiari manages to get herself relegated to foraging duty this morning. Instead of foraging however, Hiari smuggles as many materials as she can out of the compound, and walks alongside the other cultist she's supposed to be working with until they're away from the compound. There, Hiari manages to put the cultist in a hold, and knocks her unconscious. She hides the cultist in the brush to the side of the road before bolting northeast towards Baltimare.
If it were up to Hiari, she'd have this entire compound destroyed. #rp

Why didn't they have the anti-magic guys leading the investigation? More importantly, why was she, an agent with NO experience dealing with cults, being sent as the inside mare? Oh well, orders are orders.
She had her orders. Now she just needed to find the contact she'd been told about to get into this cult without arousing suspicion. #rp
"I see every meme you post on every website. Definitely not kek." Hiari shakes her head disapprovingly.

Hiari was ecstatic to get to visit her sister, and their cousin for a week, but did they really have to choose Vanhoover of all places to live? She'd only been here a day, and she was already starting to question if the city as a whole had collectively agreed to just be weird.
EVERYTHING had a maple flavor. Donuts, syrup, coffee, cookies, candles, even lip balm. Nothing was safe. Not only that, but there was even a GIANT MAPLE LEAF on the side of one of the city's skyscrapers. On top of all that, Hiari had learned that her sister and her band had NEVER gone clubbing except for rock clubs. As someone who frequented such places as a part of her job, she was determined to take them clubbing once before she left.
Tonight was that night. She'd managed to convince Asuka and her bandmates to go clubbing with her, but on one condition. Hiari would have to go to a rock club with them tomorrow night. She wasn't the biggest fan of rock music, but it would be worth it if she got to teach a bunch of babies how to REALLY party. #rp

She was usually just passing through, which happened to be the case today. Hiari sits in the passenger seat of a VERY nice convertible. The driver is another special agent who'd be accompanying her on their next assignment. Some plant that was suspected of selling materials to create explosives with a steelworks as a front.
Hiari is looking out of the passenger side window when she notices a small group of police cruisers formed in a semi-circle around the parking lot of a decently sized strip mall. She already didn't like where this was going, and insisted that the driver pull into the strip mall. When the car pulls up into the parking lot Hiari can see a huge issue. There's a news van here. Thankfully, there was a police officer hurrying to their convertible who might just be able to help with that problem. "Hey! It's not safe here! You guys need to-!" The officer is silenced when Hiari's driver flashes his badge. "We're here to help. Just tell us what's going on, and where you need us, but we need that camera OFF."
Meanwhile, a cameraman gives the reporter in front of him a nod. The reporter clears his throat, and waits for the green light ln the camera to come on before speaking. "Yes Barbara, we're here at the Samuel G strip mall where police are already on scene. Witnesses reported hearing the sound of gunfire coming from the-" The reporter is cut off as a police officer briskly walks into view. "Shut off the camera." The officer commands. The reporter turns to question the officer. "What? Why?" The officer does not give the reporter an answer, despite the fact that there was an obvious reason NOT to be in an area where gunfire was reported. "Shut. off. the. camera!" The officer begins to move towards the camera itself. The reporter begins to protest again before the officer lifts a hoof to cover the camera lens while shouting. "Turn off the dang c-" The camera, and audio feeds are cut before he finishes his sentence. #rp

Hiari finishes her second drink of the night. She one of many patrons seated at the casino's overpriced bar. Next to her sits a stallion that's been attempting to flirt with her since she sat down, but so far his own stupor has been his greatest enemy. She wouldn't have been interested anyway.
Out of the blue Hiari's snout begins to twitch. She inhales a few times before bring her right foreleg to her mouth to stifle a sneeze. After doing so the bartender looks to her. "Do you need a napkin ma'am?" Hiari nods slightly. "That would be wonderful, thank you." The bartender then places a small stack of around 4 napkins in front of Hiari. She takes the top napkin, and wipes her nose before picking up the rest of the stack. With a quick glance at the underside of the bottom napkin Hiari neatly places the last 3 napkins into her purse.
Casino Floor, Private Poker Table #2
A gruff stallion in a suit approaches the table, and walks right up to one of its occupants. The far less beefy stallion looks up from his seat in confusion. "What're you doin' here Ajax?" The gruff stallion grunts in response. "You seen da boss?" The smaller stallion excuses himself from the table to talk with the gruff stallion somewhere more private. "No. I haven't seen the boss. Last I heard he was with one of the new servers." The gruff stallion grunts. "Can't talk to da boss. Room's locked, and his phone ain't on." "Well, what about the server girl?" "We can't find her either. Wait manager said she clocked out." "Shit. Alright. Get the boys. We gotta figure out what's goin' on here."
"Mile High Club" Bar
Hiari overhears a gruff voice tell someone to go to the hotel. Apparently someone important's gone silent. Hiari waits for the conversation to end, and gives it a few more minutes before she leaves a 20 on the bar counter, and rises to leave. They had noticed just about as quickly as she expected, but she had what she needed. It was time to leave before things picked up. #rp
