He'd come to the Appaloosa sheriff's office to bring... View More"Well ain't that the worst load ah shit ah've ever done heard!" Dusty moves his head to the side just in time to avoid an ashtray thrown in rage. He'd come to the Appaloosa sheriff's office to bring news from Dawn Ranger Headquarters in Canterlot, but the sheriff was quite upset over it. It was completely understandable. Inside the office stand 3 men. Dusty, Mist, and the sheriff. The sheriff begins to rant, and rave about how 'Caterlot never did care about little ol' Appaloosa', and 'Them City folk ain't lived ah day out here. How would they know what's best fer us?' What had the sheriff so incensed? Well, Dawn Ranger HQ had made a big reversal on their stance on the San Palomino Desert. Apparently, HQ needed more rangers up north. Okay, so they just take some of the rangers from the San Palomino, and rebase them up north, right? Well, sort of. "26 rangers active in the San Palomino, and now them big shots in Canterlot tell us they can only spare ONE?!" The Sheriff roars in frustration as he slams an empty whisky bottle against his desk. Following the bottle bouncing off of the desk, and lading on the floor, undamaged, Mist speaks. "With all due respect Sheriff, HQ isn't completely full of morons. They left you the best ranger you got." At this, Dusty shakes his head. "Ain't no such thang as ah 'best ranger'. Ah've just lived here mah whole life is all." His tone then becomes far more serious. "Besides. If HQ does pull all them rangers back north, the Lone Star's just gonna get bolder, and bolder. More an' more caravans 'r gonna get robbed, 'n more people 'r gonna die." At this point, the sheriff is so far gone that he has completely checked out of the conversation. "Which means we're gonna have to start thinkin' outside the box if we wanna avoid his boys burnin' the town to the ground." Mist's voice is low. His tone cold, and serious. The only response he gets from Dusty is a nod. "Alright. You give me a day, and I'll have a plan for us. I ain't gonna let those clowns have their way with this town." #rp
