View MoreAs the sun rises over Ponyville, an ornate carriage, lead, and flanked by a group of 15 guards crosses over a stone bridge into a magnificent estate. On the other side of the bridge, a cobblestone road leads through the beautiful fields of the estate. At the end of the road sits an elegant manor made of marble, and stone.
The ornate carriage pulls up to the end of the road, which loops around a grand fountain just before the stairs of the manor. After coming to a stop, the carriage door is opened, and the mayor of Ponyville is helped out. She is then greeted by one of the manor's own guards, who leads her, and two of her guards up the stairs, and into the manor.
The remaining guards quickly begin to fan out across the estate. Of the 13 remaining guards, 7 take up positions outside the manor, while 6 enter the manor. Among the 6 who enter the manor are Wattzis Buckets, Lieutenant Spellsword, Nar, and 3 other guards. Upon entering the manor's atrium, Wattzis, Lieutenant Spellsword, and one other guard take up positions in front of the stairs leading up to where the mayor is being lead. Nar, and two of the other guards enter separate rooms, and Lieutenant Spellsword turns to Wattzis, and the other guard.
Much like Nar, this other guard does not wear the standard patrol armor a guard would be issued. Instead, he wears a gray tank-top that sports the Ponyville guard logo, a pair of olive cargo pants, and combat boots. His fur is a charcoal black, and his hair is a fiery orange. The combination of fur, and hair color gives him a look similar to that of a burning ember. He, and Wattzis stand at attention in front of the stairs as Lieutenant Spellsword begins to speak. "This meeting could take quite some time. We're expecting multiple hours, so settle in for a long watch. If you need to be relieved of your post, you must inform me before doing so. No horseplay, you two. Remember the briefing. We expect one of the Lord's former employees may attempt to disrupt this meeting, so be on guard at all times." The two guards salute. "Yes Ma'am!"
As the Lieutenant turns to begin her roaming patrol around the manor, the other guard speaks to Wattzis. "Just like old times, ey Sparks?" He grins, but both he, and Wattzis keep their eyes forward. "I could hardly believe it when they showed us the patrol routes. It's good to serve with you again, Wildfire." Wattzis smiles, even though Wildfire can't see it. "Yeah. I would have thought they would have put you with that new partner of yours. The foreign guy." Responds Wildfire. Wattzis raises an eyebrow. "Oh, Nar? He's been tasked with patrolling the cellar. Something about being an earth mage, and being able to feel intrusion attempts or something?" Wildfire nods. "Sounds about right. Not sure I really trust him to sit still for so long, but I guess the Captain does, so I won't complain." If Wattzis is being honest, he doesn't really trust Nar with an operation like this either, but the Captain assigned him, so it's not Wattzis' place to object.
Well. Time to settle in, and focus. The Mayor, and the Lord have an important meeting going on. From what they were told at the briefing, it seems like there are some people who are pretty keen to make sure the meeting falls through. So long as Wattzis is standing guard, he won't allow anyone to disrupt such an important meeting. #rp
