The once bustling town of Ponyville lies silent. The only sounds to fill it's streets now are the rustling of leaves, and the scraping of litter across pavement. All along the streets, inside building... View MoreThe once bustling town of Ponyville lies silent. The only sounds to fill it's streets now are the rustling of leaves, and the scraping of litter across pavement. All along the streets, inside buildings, and elsewhere stand the evidence of the tragedy that happened here. Concrete, and asphalt torn up with visible claw marks. Debris from the destruction of doors, walls, makeshift barricades, benches, street lights, and more. Cars sit in the streets. Some abandoned by their occupants. Others laying dead at the wheel, or in other seats. Police cruisers, and national guard vehicles line the streets in makeshift roadblocks. The brave officers, and soldiers who manned them lay dead behind them. The spent ammunition around them attests to their attempts to resist the onslaught. Among the silent town, Nar searches for supplies, and possibly, survivors. His path is carefully planned. His steps deliberate, and soft. It won't do for him to attract unwanted attention. Lest he be killed before he's able to find his daughter. The supermarket ahead seems much smaller without the constant flow of people in, and out of it. The cars in the parking lot sit largely empty, save for the few bodies of those who thought their cars would protect them. Some lay on the asphalt. Struck down as they made a run for the supermarket's doors. Many lay at the entrance. Felled as they found their potential shelter blocked by a makeshift barricade of shelves, shopping carts, and merchandise. Not that the barricade stood proud anymore. It has long since been bulldozed through. Treading carefully through the wreckage of mangled shelves, and the twisted metal of destroyed shopping carts, Nar makes his way into the supermarket. Instead of the upbeat pop tunes one would expect, he is only greeted by the sound of air passing through the building, and the scent of death. He carefully weaves through the few brave souls who attempted to hold the creatures at the entrance. Some clearly having lost their nerve, and were cut down as they attempted to flee. The inside of the store is much like the town outside. Merchandise lays on the floor where it was knocked over. Whether in the occupants hasty attempt to barricade the entrances, or by the horrors that got inside. Along the remnants of the aisles, Nar searches for supplies. The first department he heads to is the outdoor, and sports department. He manages to find himself a nice camping backpack, a sleeping bag, flashlight, and even a few 'just add water' meals. He'll have to settle for a baseball bat for defense at the moment though. Making his way over to the grocery area of the store, a noise causes Nar to pause. He quickly ducks into a rack of coats to hide, and listen. He could have sworn he just heard something get knocked aside a few aisles over. Seconds turn into minutes, but no other sounds are heard. Well... He has been off of his medication for about a week now. There's a good chance that might have been a hallucination. Either way, he should still be careful. Once in the grocery aisle, Nar manages to find quite a few non-perishable food items, as well as plenty with a long shelf life. With all he's gathered so far, he's got food for at least 2 weeks right now. All in all, a VERY good haul. Frighteningly good. If there are still this many supplies left in a place that's the most likely to be looted after a disaster like this... There's a good chance nobody survived long enough to start looting. The thought sends a violent shudder down his back. Can't let that get to me now. Gotta find a better weapon, and head to Asuka's house. C'mon Nar! This is just like when you found that winter hellscape version of Vanhoover! Except, you can actually see the bodies this time. You know what? How about we stop thinking about how bad things are, and just get a move on. #rp
