As the sun sets over Ponyville on a Friday night, the youth of the town pile into the sparse bars, and clubs to enjoy the start of their weekend. In what is practically the town's only rock club, crea... View MoreAs the sun sets over Ponyville on a Friday night, the youth of the town pile into the sparse bars, and clubs to enjoy the start of their weekend. In what is practically the town's only rock club, creatures mingle, drink, and eat greasy snack foods as they wait for tonight's entertainment. The sign out front said Attack on Mango was playing tonight, but most find that hard to believe. Still, a chance to see one of Ponyville's greatest bands of all time was not something they were going to pass up. At around 8 PM, a group of 4 walks on stage. Much to the crowds surprise, it is in fact, Attack on Mango. Though, they're in casual wear, and the stage doesn't ahve their usual setup. Whatever the case, they're certainly the entertainment for tonight. (https://youtu.be/QfK9UVvxNpg?si=i1IX7iZFaioOR9F6) A shout from Asuka, behind the drumset, is mostly drowned out by the conversations of the crowd. She counts the band in, then, the club is filled with music. Some among the crowd listen in confusion. Isn't Attack on Mango a chiptune rock band? Others delight in seeing Attack on Mango going back to their roots. At least, for one show. Some fans preferred their grunge rock days! The club fills with energy as Attack on Mango rocks the night away! For a solid hour, Attack on Mango plays songs from their early days. All punk, grunge, or garage rock. Not a single chiptune rock song to be heard. On stage, Nar, and Juno dance around, Asuka goes feral on her drums, and Scrappy makes up her own parts for the songs that don't originally have keyboard parts. For them, this is just a casual jam session for the fun of it. Having a crowd (and free food, and drinks afterwards) is just a bonus! At the end of their set, the band heads off stage, and right for an empty booth. A good chunk of the crowd is already leaving, but the club is open until 12. A few orders later, and the band's table is full of food, and drinks. "Man, it's been forever since we played a show like that!" Nar beams, shoveling a handful of bacon cheese fries into his mouth. "Don't eat so much at one time, Dingus. You're gonna choke." Asuka responds from across the table. Nar continues, heedless of his sister's warning. Beide Nar, Juno takes a swing of beer. "Gotta admit. It felt good being on stage again." Across from him, Scrappy nods vigorously. "Yeah! This crowd was way more energetic than the ones at the Hearth's Warming village!" After swallowing his mass of fries, Nar speaks once more. "Wish we could play shows more often. Sucks to grow up, doesn't it?" "Hey!" Asuka protests. "You're the oldest one here, grampa! Speak for yourself! I'm still a spry, young 25-year-old!" The response she gets is the wrapper of a straw blown into her face. #rp
