A day, all about him just didn't feel right, unless it was his birthday. He didn't deserve any kind of praise for raising his children the way every father should. Yet, today he'd received a call from both of his daughters, each lasting an hour, and his wife was making his favorite of her cookies for him.
There was just one person Kisho had yet to hear from today. That being his son, Nar. He knew that Nar had a job with irregular hours, so he was perfectly fine if Nar wasn't able to wish him a happy father's day.
At around 4 PM, the doorbell to Kisho and Betty's house rings. When Kisho opens the door, he's met with a case of root beer, and a young man in a straw hat beaming a smile. "Hey Dad. Happened to be in the area, so I thought I'd surprise you for Father's Day." To this, Kisho tightly embraces his son, and thanks him profusely for the kindness, while also continually telling him he didn't have to.
Afterwards, Nar, Kisho, and Betty spend the evening watching family home movies. Nar says that he'll be able to stay a day if his parents want, and Kisho practically demands they go fishing the next morning.
Though Asuka and Hiari aren't able to be here, Kisho is happy. He is a simple man, and simply getting to see his son in person brings him more joy than any gift could. #rp
