It was a common practice around Equestria as far as Kisho knew. It reminded him of the dinners he used to have with all his relatives back in Neighpan. Though those were but memories of a time long past now. Now, he had a family of his own to celebrate with.
Though, not everyone had a family to celebrate the holiday with. Kisho had never known the feeling of going through such a holiday alone, but he did know he never wanted to. So, that's why he, and his family celebrated holidays in their own way.
At around 5 AM this morning, Kisho arrived at his restaurant to begin setting things up. At around 6 AM, he is surprised by his son, eldest daughter, and their best friend arriving to help. Then, at 8, his wife arrives to help get the dining room decorated, and set up.
At 11:30, as Kisho is preparing the food to open the restaurant for an all-day "Stop in Thanksgiving" in the kitchen, he hears a squeal from his eldest daughter in the dining room. When he goes to see what caused it, he finds his youngest daughter wrapped up in a hug ball by the rest of the family. He quickly moves in to add to the ball. For a moment, he thinks about pulling Juno into it, but it appears Nar has already begun doing so.
"Woah. Isn't this like, a big family moment?" Juno protests. "Yeah, so get in here nerd! You're a part of the family!" Nar retorts, jerking Juno deep into the hug.
After the hug breaks, everyone gets right back to work. By 12 PM, the store has opened.
Outside sits a single sign.
"Thanksgiving Day Meal. Those who cannot celebrate with their families, come celebrate with ours. 5 bits for a full plate.
No money? Please come dine with us anyway. We will not let you go hungry. Hot food, and drinks inside."
With that, the Yakushi family holiday tradition was finally in swing. #rp
