Curse of Strahd is a blast! I would recommend using the reloaded module or talking to other DMs on reddit, cause the base module is so bare bones and only designed to go up to like lvl 10.

The guy who'll be DMing it is adding a ton of his own stuff to it. I expect it'll be a pretty unique experience.
Especially considering my campaign was Wild West themed. Complete tonal whiplash.

Haha that is a severe change in tone! It is a great gothic horror though, just chef kisses! Plus with Van Ricteon's guide to Ravenloft, you can stretch it out into two campaigns! My group got like 5+ years of dnd from it! :D
