The binds that they... View MoreThe strumming of rainfall surrounded Camille, leaving her standing with just her cloak as protection from the elements. Her eyes were trained on the four stallions in front of her. The binds that they held glistening with the streaks of rain that also matted their fur. Then she focused on the cage set just a leap behind them. Inside a single filly lay curled up, shivering under the cold wind wicking away the heat from her small figure. Camille could taste bile in her maw. These sick freaks were tainting the beauty of the land with misdeeds beyond comprehension. Foalnapping, possible for extortion. Profit. And this little squad was quite unhappy with her presence. A small mare, mostly in physical shape, like her would be an easy prey. Sadly for them, this mare is no prey. It all happened so fast to the filly. She watched as they all dived at the cloaked mare. A logical plan to all-in for easy success. A poorly conceived one in the end. She had sprung into the air, her close flaying free as her wings broke the air. Leathery batwings beating under the downpour of rain, sending splashing into the eyes of those below. A distraction. She'd land with a splash, spinning around on a front hoof and landing a devistating blow to one stallion. Followed by flipping out of the spin and dropping all four hooves onto the second. Both were knocked out quickly. The remaining two looked to each other and growled before running towards her. Both sent flying back past each side of the cage, one smashing through a window and the other a pile of boxes. All this time the filly had watched, eyes wide in hope. The grey mare before her was like an angel in the night. The glow of her heterochromic eyes glistening under the rain. Camille cracked the lock in the cage with a swift swing of a front hoof, the edge of her gauntlet easily breaking the weak metal. The cage swung open and the filly slowly stood, walking out to look up at the mare before her. Camille backed away slowly, expecting fear, but instead found the filly suddenly hugging her chest with all the energy she had left. Though surprised at first, she'd slowly relax. The thestral wrapped her forelegs and wings around the filly. Her voice, warm, asking, "what's your name?" "Crystalline. Crystalline Passage, miss," the filly answered in a shivering voice. "I'm Camille. You're safe now. Let's get you warm."
