All around Asu... View MoreThe setting sun bathes Ponyville in a warm orange glow. Being a Friday night, the town is a little more lively that it is on most weeknights. Doubly so for the Rabble's Gully rock club. All around Asuka, adults, young, and old stand, or sit conversing, drinking, and eating crummy club food. The stage at the back of the club sits empty, save for a few guitars, a bass guitar, a drum set, and some microphones, set up for open mic night. Sat across the booth Asuka is sitting at is sheriff's deputy Marks. A young stallion, only a year younger than her, and her date for tonight. He cuts a fine, fit figure, complete with jeans, black boots, and an ACDC T-shirt. His five-o-clock shadow freshly touched up to help keep that 'gruff lawman trying to look cool' look. Asuka sports a similar outfit, but not quite as casual. She sports a black, slightly loose dress that stops just above her knees, with black stockings to cover the rest of her legs, and a comfortable pair of flat black pumps. The date has been going fairly well so far. Nothing much of note. The two have mostly been swapping stories about calls they've been on, with Asuka being very careful not to get into any of the more intense stories she has. After one that gets a liiiiitle too close to being uncomfortable, Asuka suggests the two hit the dance floor for a little bit. As if that's their cue, a group of 4 men make their way onto the stage. Asuka pays them no mind at first. She's more focused on her date. It's only once the two find a good spot that she manages to take a closer look at the group now setting up on stage. No. WAY. Why are THEY here?! Stood on the stage, checking the various equipment are Juno, Nar, Roy, and someone she's never met before. All dressed in their concert attire. Her gaze meets Nar's for the briefest of moments, and he gives her a wink. The group gives no introduction. Once they're ready, they immediately launch into their performance. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xo2Kuqt0EYM) With the introduction of live music, the once sparse dance floor suddenly fills with a flood of patrons. Despite this, Asuka and her date manage enough room for some dancing. Neither of the two are particularly fancy, or good at it, but Marks seems to be enjoying himself. Asuka, on the other hand, is being fairly reserved with her moves. Not wanting to weird out her date. However, as the performance continues, Asuka questions herself internally. Should she stay reserved in hopes of not scaring of Marks? Or should she just be herself? After all, would she want to date someone who doesn't like her for who she is? In the end, the latter argument wins out. Asuka goes from little side shuffling, and hip twisting, to full on headbanging thrashing. Her hair whips through the air, sweat trickling down from her forehead onto her dress. She gets so wrapped up in her moves that she doesn't notice Marks' reaction at first. After their first song, the boys on stage launch into some of Attack on Mango's early songs. Ones from their grunge era, before they moved to Vanhoover. REAL crunchy stuff! Hell yeah! This is Asuka's kind of music! At some point during the set, Marks says something to Asuka, but she can hardly hear him over the sounds around her. He repeats himself. Saying something about going to grab a drink. Asuka does not see him for the rest of the night. Whatever, poser. Asuka's gonna stay, and rock the night away! She can always find someone else who can match her energy! #rp
