View MoreGetting a few months off for her band's tour was nice and all, but now that Asuka was finally back to work, they were working her hard. Turns out, Vanhoover's Primary Care Paramedic shortage only got worse in Asuka's absence, and now every PCP in the city was pulling double time to make up for it. After a grueling 72 hour shift with 6 different drivers, Asuka finally has a day to actually go home. Following a short walk to the tram station nearest to her station, Asuka plops down on the station's bench. Now, the fight to stay awake begins. Unfortunately for Asuka, she loses that battle pretty quickly. She only manages to stay awake for about 3 minutes before slumping against the pole holding the tram stop's awning up. At some point, something causes Asuka to stir. Through half-opened eyes, and a drowsy haze, she sees someone standing in front of her. It's as if a fog has covered her mind, and she has to search for her own thoughts. The person appear to be speaking, but she can't make any words out. It's only after she rubs her eyes that things begin to come clear. "Up and at-em sleepyhead." A bright smile beams at Asuka from above. She'd recognize that goofy yellow hawaiian shirt, and straw hat anywhere. "Nar? What're you doing here?" "On my route for today. You know they moved the tram line this stop used to be for, right?" The question slips into Asuka's brain fog, and is swiftly forgotten. "I'm just waiting for the tram." "Oh you poor thing." Nar's smile turns to a pouting frown. "You know we got you a rideshare app specifically so you could use it to get home after work, right?" This time, her brother's words manage to cut through the fog. "Too expensive." This response elicits a deadpan stare from her older brother. "Asuka." "We're millionaires. We can afford to spend 20 bucks for you to get a ride home." Asuka blinks twice. Her brain can't think of a valid excuse. "Buh." This time, the reply is a sigh. "Alright. C'mon, I'll take you home. I'm ahead of schedule anyway." Nar then turns, and crouches down to offer his back to Asuka. She manages to flop forward, onto his back, and quickly finds herself lifted into a piggyback position. Asuka lays her head on her brother's shoulders, and wraps her arms under his as he grabs her legs to hold her up. "You just get some rest Sock. We can go to Shifty Sai's after you wake up." "Nar." "Yeah?" "I like burritos." "Yes you do Asuka. Yes you do." #rp
