View MoreAfter another long 2 days at work, Asuka is more than ready to get home, plop into her bed, and curl up into a ball for the next 24 hours. Though, when she walks through the front door, and finds Nar holding a cute, pink envelope with a box of chocolates, and flowers on the table next to him, her priorities change. "Oooooooh. Finally get an admirer Nar?" Despite her exhaustion, Asuka still manages enough energy to pester her brother. Nar responds by lifting up the letter, and showing her a name written on the front. 'Ruby.' "Nope. Found these when I got home from work today. Tried to give them to Ruby, but she refused. Said it was probably from her ex, and she wants nothing to do with him. Wanted to wait until you got home to read the letter." Asuka inhales sharply. "Bad breakup?" This is answered by Ruby shouting from her room down the hall. "Bad everything!" "Wait, her ex is Winston Dreamglow, right? Can't imagine why they broke up, considering the playboy he tries to be in public." Asuka's words drip so much sarcasm, it could fill a canyon. "Probably." The two siblings gather close. Asuka leans in to watch as Nar not-so-gingerly rips the envelope open, and pulls the card inside out. He then begins to read aloud. "Dearest Ruby, It has been so long since I last beheld your radiant gaze." Asuka dry heaves. "Your smile is brighter than that of even the light of the sun. Your fiery hair, and blazing personality set my heart aflame. Every day, I lament my failings as a romantic partner. I regret not holding on to you as tight as I should have. You were the light to my world, and the one thing that brought me joy in this weary world. I do hope that one day, you will give me another chance. I truly believe we are perfect for each other. Every day that goes by without you in my arms, the pit in my soul grows ever deeper. Ruby, my love. We were meant to be. Please stop this childish grudge, and open your eyes. We belong together. Your dearest love, Winston Dreamglow." The silence following the reading of the allows every word to sink deep into Asuka's mind. They stew there like a bad smell you just can't get out of a carpet. She bursts into laughter, quickly followed by her brother uttering a few chuckles. He's trying to contain a grin, but failing miserably. "What the hell was all that?!" Asuka belts out in between fits of laughter. The exhaustion was making this way funnier than it actually was. "This has to be the most insincere, disingenuous, sappy, sack of shit love letter I've ever read!" The fits of laughter that follow end up with Asuka having to lay down on the living room couch so she doesn't fall over, and hurt herself. At some point, Ruby comes out of her room to talk with Nar about something, but by that time, Asuka has laughed herself to sleep. #rp
