"Wait hold the phone," Marenipulate chuckled. "If the drinks are 5% off, then adding 5% to a discounted price wouldn't necessarily bring it back to its original price. Let's say drinks are normally $5. 5% off would be $4.75. But adding 5% to $4.75 would make it $4.98, or $4.99 if you round up."
