Just outside of an in... View MoreThe clouds above Ponyville a gray, and deposit a light flurry of snow to the ground below. The wind is fairly constant, but not particularly strong, save for the occasional gust. Just outside of an innocuous alleyway on the west end of the town, a single figure is knelt, checking, and re-checking his satchel's supplies. He has enough food in the satchel to last nearly 2 whole months, a variety of camping supplies, a sleeping bag, winter blanket, and various other exploring supplies. He's said his goodbyes to his family, and friends, knowing there's a chance he may not return from this trip. Either he returns with his sister, or he doesn't return at all. Ever since Operation Scalpel, Nar has avoided going any deeper into the Astral Highway System than the first layer. However, this journey was likely to take him much deeper into the plane. Though he normally would have spent days mustering the courage to go deeper than the first level, his resolve to find his sister outweighed any fears that would have stopped him now. A step is taken forward. Nar feels his leg quiver for a moment. His mind is adamant that his body press forward, but it's resisting. It remembers the torment that lies beyond those star-marked blue doors. Another step, his other leg begins to draw back slightly, but he forces the other forward again. Another step, but this time, something else stops him. "Nar!" A familiar voice causes Nar to spin around. There, he's met with the familiar face of his old band member. "Ruby. I thought you were flying back tomorrow." She nods. "I canceled my flight the moment I heard that Asuka went missing. I managed to get a hold of your other sister, and she told me where I could find you." For a moment, Nar is quiet, but he eventually manages to speak up. "Where I'm going is dangerous Ruby. Countless people have been lost, or died while in there. I don't want to put anyone else at risk." At this, Ruby steps forward, placing her face in front of his, albeit, slightly below his eye level. "I know that. I used to travel through the Astral Highway System in college, and still dabble in it from time to time. I brought all my own supplies." To this, Nar poses one question. "How far have you gone?" "The red doors." This elicits a sigh from Nar. "Alright. Just stick close to me, and try to remember where we came from. If you ever want to turn back, and leave, you can, but I won't be following you." To this, Ruby nods. "I'm not letting you do this alone. Asuka is my friend to, and I'm doing this for her, just as much as I'm doing it for you." With that, the two turn towards the end of the alleyway. They approach the wall, and once near, Nar reaches out to open the hidden door. Then, the two step through the threshold, and into the Astral Highway system to begin their search. #rp
