He wants to ... View MoreIf there's one thing Nar is concerned about when it comes to his parenting, it's that he's going to spoil Cookie rotten. She's the sweetest little angel now, but he knows that can change. He wants to make sure that when Cookie starts exploring the world on her own, she'll do so with kindness, and compassion in her heart. She'll want for nothing, but he wants her to know that isn't the case for everyone, and just as easily could have been for her. Taking a page from his father's parenting style, Nar takes Cookie to volunteer at a soup kitchen with him for the afternoon. All afternoon, and even into the evening, Nar serves soup, with a side of hugs, and the occasional photo with a fan who's down on their luck. Beside him, Cookie hands out little treats to everyone who passes by. In all honesty, she was getting way more attention than Nar was! All throughout the day, Cookie asks her father questions. "Papa? Why do people have to come here to eat?" "Because, Pumpkin, some people aren't as fortunate as us. Some people can't get their own food all the time, so we help them to make sure they can eat!" "Papa? Why is that man in a wheelchair? Do his legs not work?" "I'm sure he has a reason. If you asked him politely, he might be willing to tell you." "Papa? Why are there beds over there?" "Because some people don't have a safe place to sleep like we do. So we let them sleep in here so they can sleep somewhere safe." By far Nar's proudest moment of the day was just before they left for the evening. Two boys, one in his late teens, the other around Cookie's age came in around dinnertime. From what Nar could tell, the two were brothers, but there was no sight of their parents. After grabbing their food, and going to eat, the younger boy broke down in tears at his table. The older brother tried his best to calm him down, and cheer him up, but it didn't seem to be working. Just when Nar was about to go over himself, he saw Cookie approach the two, and ask what was wrong. The older brother was polite, but clearly quite stressed, and tired. Then, Cookie asked the younger boy permission to hug him. She took him opening his arms as an invitation, and glomped onto him. There, she told him many of the comforting things Nar would say to her when she was upset. Slowly, the boy calmed down, to which, the older brother was eternally thankful. At the end of the night, as the soup line was finishing up, Nar picks up an exhausted Cookie, and carries her home. Then, he tucks her into bed, and heads to his own room to hop on a voice call with Asuka, and Juno to let them know about his day, and listen to them talk about theirs. #rp
