It's not finished yet and has been on a bit of a hiatus. Uh, I'll see if I can paste the entire thing here... "I feel my consciousness returning. Finally, I can see again, feel again, think again. The last thing I remember is a dark silhouette approaching me as I was on my way home from the temple. Then nothing. But I am aware now. I feel the blissful relief from oblivion. I feel the soft light touching my skin. I feel the humid air entering my lungs. I feel my blood pumping through my veins. I feel…shackles. Shackles around my wrists, around my ankles, around my neck. I see…fog. Fog everywhere, constricting the environment around me. I am surrounded by fog. I feel the fog on my skin. I feel the fog in my lungs. It doesn’t feel natural. It sends an unpleasant sensation through me. It feels like a sensation I am forbidden from experiencing or comprehending. Thoughts flow through my head, thoughts of confusion and dread. The fog is difficult to see through, but I can just barely make out other shapes in its haze. There are at least two of them. They appear to be shifting and distorting in wavy motions, never settling on a still form. The way they warp makes it feel like they’re being twisted beyond their form’s limitations. It feels like watching two entities slowly writhe in anguish. I try to call out into the fog. But the air feels cold and thick in my throat. The only sound that comes out is a strained cough. It almost sounded like a death cry. But I’m still alive. I feel my heart beating and my lungs breathing. But something has poisoned my voice. I faintly hear the same visceral choking coming from the other distorting silhouettes. Their discomforting movements continue until a third silhouette appears. It’s small and faint at first, but it gradually grows bigger and clearer. Then, the mist slowly disperses, and the two struggling, formless masses slowly contort into something discernible—Two other creatures hung from chains and trapped like me. The third one, however…was so grotesque and unholy in its form that it awakened…something in the darkest pits of my mind. The feeling is difficult to discern, let alone describe. It feels like some…foreign instinct. The details of the creature that prompted this sensation are still hard to make out in this ethereal mist. but, from what I can make out, it appears to be a quadruped. It wears a cloak that covers its body from the withers down, leaving only its face unleashed on my eyes. It bares large jaws, filled with multiple rows of gnarled teeth and curved into a grin. The rest of its face is covered in several small, piercing red eyes. And it appears to adorn something resembling a mane around its neck. A mane that seems to shift like a pile of serpents. The monster walks around us, its steps tense as it begins to speak. “Greetings. I apologize for our rather…forceful methods of summoning.” Its voice is deep and raspy, not that far departed from a snarl. The hideous travesty of life continues to pace around us, looking us over with an indiscernible gaze. As its eyes momentarily locked with mine, I felt something boiling deep in my head. My voice tried to tear its way through my throat at the uncanny feeling. But, once again, the only thing that escaped my mouth was a strained whimper. “Though you may not know it yet, you’re actually quite lucky…” The creature continues to pace around us choking captives as it speaks. With every constrained step and piercing glance of the monstrosity, I feel an all-encompassing terror attempting to worm its way through my body and achieve total control. “…You will get to experience something few entities have been able to feel for eons: freedom!” As the abomination uttered that line, I felt a sense of anger rise up against the terror that had consumed me. How dare this atrocity capture me only to claim it will set me free?!" ...Aaaand, that's all I have so far.
