Travelers, and locals alike flocked to the saloon for all manner of things. From drinking, to food, to gambling, music, and even haircuts on Wednesdays, the saloon was the place to go for most anything in Appaloosa. After a long day, it's about time for you to take a well deserved break from your travels, work, or whatever else it is you might have been doing. After surveying the small town of Appaloosa you find the only establishment still open at this time is the rather busy Okie Dokie Saloon. With no other options, you might as well head on in. Even before you swing the batwing doors open, you can hear quite the commotion coming from within the saloon. As you approach, the smell of smoke wafts out of the front entrance, assaulting your nose rather heavily. When you open the doors themselves, you are met with the sight of a saloon, packed near to full, with all manner of activities going on. Pretty much every person in the saloon either has a drinking glass in hand, or has obviously been drinking. A few folks sit around tables gambling, eating, drinking, or simply conversing. Near the back of the saloon, a self-playing piano plays old ragtime hits, while a miserly bartender slams bottles onto the counter while people form an orderly line to pay for, fill up, and drink drinks from a handful of glasses the bartender hurriedly swaps out, and briefly wipes with a dirty rag. It's then that a hand shoots up from one of the tables. In the middle of the saloon, standing by a table labeled "Free Lunch", Dusty waves to you with a large smile atop his face. "Howdy pardner!" His voice only barely cuts above the noise of the saloon. "Thought ya might turn up tahnight! C'mon and grab a fork! Gotcha' ah drink so yah could get yerself somethin' tah eat!" Dusty motions for you to come over to the table, motioning specifically to the gigantic pot in the middle of the table. From your position at the door, all you can see is brown slurry inside the pot, a few dirty plates around it, and a mason jar with dirty water, and presumably used forks sitting inside. Dusty pulls one of the forks out of the mason jar, and leisurely stabs it into the pot, pulling out a piece of bacon, slathered in baked beans before popping it into his mouth without a second thought. He then motions to you again. "C'mon! Pork 'n Beans! The boys in the kitchen make 'em the best!" #rp

When nopony was looking too closely, she swallowed the part of her spaceship that no doubt was wrapped in a fleshy goo when they first found it. That they had tossed it in the cooking pot was ... unsettling to say the least. Tality wasn't quite sure if it would be dangerous to other ponies to consume. But it would probably have been dangerous already if it was gonna be. It was her flesh, after all. And her flesh didn't like to be separated from her. It had, over the eons, evolved to the peak of microbial intelligence, understanding the world around it and inferring a great deal of the macroscopic world, but still quite ignorant of it. It loves nothing more than being a part of her, and would return by any means it could come up with. It would not really like to muliply much, but it might produce beta clones, subservient ones, makes clones of themselves, or perhaps hijack the body of a pony or two, or a dozen if her flesh didn't agree to work with itself. The fueding had been vicious before the meta evolved into a stalemate. It was a real chore being composed of her own rogue cancer, alien cells, parasitic matter, permanently manifested concepts, awakened and granted heightened consciousness by their relationship to the nascent leviathan with a pony's shape and mind. One day her voice would shatter galaxies, her cells believed. They became selfish, refusing to die, but relentlessly holding Her shape. They worshipped her, or something. They were like terrifying clever and violently terratorial children with access to a infinitely-sophisticated microbial arsenal. And she, herself, had never had a choice in the matter. She just had to deal with the consequences when she ever lost track of a piece of herself. And this was one of those times. Tality looked over the mason jar of forks and shook her head. "But really, look at that, they're just asking for it. Maybe I can just go home and forget about it. Nopony would be surprised if a supervirus came out of a place like this," she whispered to herself while glancing around, hoping for anypony here to suddenly reveal they were the carrier of her wayward meatball. With her luck, it had been that piece of bacon that Dusty Trails ate when she first arrived. It would have blended in to get itself inside a pony, and then ... who knows what it would have done to them. There was never any predicting how competent it would be.
