It's been a hellish two months for Nar, but now, the end of his journey is in sight. He's not sure how many more doors it will be before he re-emerges into the Material Plane, but he knows that for now, he, and the little girl he's rescuing, are safe. The first layer of the Astral Highway System is as safe as it gets in this plane, so at the very least, they won't need to worry about Astral Entities, or hazards here. As much as Nar wants to just keep going, and leave the AHS ASAP, he knows it's been a bit too long since he's had a rest. The words of the older Nar echo in the back of his mind. "I will not pull you back together again." Not to mention, there's no telling how long this little girl has been in here without food, water, or rest. So for now, it's best to set up camp, get some food, and sleep, then continue on afterwards. The highway Nar chooses to rest in appears to be some sort of schoolhouse. It's in pristine shape, and shows no signs of any use. After clearing some room in one of the classrooms, Nar gets to work on preparing a meal for himself, and his little travel partner. Taking a look through his rations, he finds he's running dangerously low. If they have to camp more than two more times, he'll likely run out. Even worse, he has no idea if his little companion will even eat anything in the rations. Children can be picky eaters, and they don't have that luxury right now. After shuffling through his 4 remaining rations, Nar picks out a chili and macaroni MRE with peanut butter, crackers, and a strawberry cobbler desert. After getting everything heated, and set out on a tray, he offers the little girl a spoonful of the macaroni, but she isn't having any of it. Looks like he's gonna have to improvise. Nar thinks back to the kinds of food he liked as a kid, only to realize that well... he ate just about anything. Oh wait! Hiari was pretty picky as a kid! What kind of stuff did she like? Oh yeah! Mom used to make her PB&J sandwiches all the time! Using the ingredients available to him, Nar spreads some peanut butter, and strawberry cobbler onto two crackers, and mushes them together. He then offers it to the little girl, and is relieved when she accepts it. While the two enjoy their meal, Nar figures it's well past time for introductions. He looks over to the little girl as she nibbles on her little peanut butter, strawberry cracker sandwich. "So, sweetie. What's your name?" She looks up to him with a bright smile on her face, and strawberry smeared along her cheek. "Sugar Cookie!" Nar smiles back. "Well Cookie, I'm Nar, it's nice to finally know your name." The conversation ends just as abruptly as it started, with the two returning to eat their meals in silence. #rp
