Tomorrow, the team will be facing off against their rival school, Canterlot Central. Basically, Canterlot's public high school, but they still acted like they were an elite academy. There was supposed to be a pep rally for it this afternoon, but for whatever reason, they couldn't hold it at their planned time. So, the school is hosting an after-school pep rally instead. From the basement hallway of the school, Nar can hear what sounds like about half of the marching band playing stand tunes in the gym. By the accompanying cheers, it sounds like the crowd is a decent size. Surprising, considering most of the school didn't give two craps about the hockey team for the most part. Nar stands with the team, waiting for their cue to enter. The boys all stand in their uniforms, minus their skates, and protective equipment. Nar stands behind them all, dressed in his custom made PHS Hockey Team sports jacket. All in all, they look pretty official. Before Nar knows it, he, and the team are ushered into the gym. All around is noise. The band blasts the school's fight song, students cheer from the stands, and the school's principal announces the team over a loudspeaker. The nostalgia of the situation hits him like a truck. He was in this exact situation almost a decade prior, when he was a part of the team that made it to the Equestria High School Hockey Championship. He has to remind himself to stay alert, and present. The principal is likely to ask him to speak at some point, and he needs to be ready. Sure enough, after some general pep talk, the principal hands the microphone to Nar for some words. "These guys have been working hard. 4 nights a week, these guys pour their hearts into practice, and games. They've been ready for this game for weeks. They're going to play their hearts out tomorrow, so you'd better come out to cheer them on! And, maybe rub it in those snooty Canterlot Central kids faces when we win!" The principal quickly snatches the microphone, but it's too late. The students are riled up now! After the pep rally has ended, Nar, and the team exit back into the basement hallway. The boys all hype each other up, and exclaim their excitement to crush Canterlot Central tomorrow night. Nar watches with a pleasant smile on his face as they head to the locker room to get changed. As he rounds the corner of the hallway, he spots the door into the school's old boiler room. A memory leaps out at him, catching him off guard. The Adventure Club stands at the entrance to the boiler room. It hasn't been in use in over a decade, and all sorts of rumors have popped up as a result. At the behest of Austin, the club's president, the Adventure Club has come to put those rumors to rest! Austin opens the door to the boiler room. An unearthly chill fills the air. Nar feels Amy suddenly bunch up next to him for safety. "Coach?" Earl's voice snaps Nar from his moment. It's then that he notices his eyes feel warm, and wet. As Nar reaches up to wipe the mist from his eyes, he notices the entirety of the team stood still, and silent. All watching him with varying degrees of confusion, or worry on their face. Wiping the mist away with one hand, he smiles a bittersweet smile, and waves dismissively with his other hand. "It's nothing, guys. Just feeling a little nostalgic is all." Nar thought he'd come to terms with the death of his friends, but it seems he was naive to think that meant he couldn't still feel grief from it. #rp
