Each highway operates in it's own,... View MoreHow long has it been since Nar began his wanderings? Without a way to tell time, he hasn't the slightest clue. There is no day, or night across the whole of the AHS. Each highway operates in it's own, strange way. For some, what may feel like seconds could be hours, or what feels like days could be minutes. How long has he been gone now? How long has Cookie been without her father? How has Autumn been dealing with his disappearance? How much longer until they're re-united? Will he even make it back home to be re-united? Gah. He's getting too into his head again. Need to focus on moving forward. The more you ruminate on other things, the more the AHS will eat away at your sanity. Stay focused. Be vigilant, and stay in the present. No time to wonder about the future, or reminisce about the past. Finally finding a relatively safe highway, Nar settles down to make camp for the night. While he doesn't have a tent, he does have a sleeping bag, lantern, and about a week and a half's worth of food, and water left. Granted, half of that food is commercial ready to eat "camping" meals that just need hot water to cook. Unlike the ones he usually gets for his expeditions that are more akin to a military MRE, this ready meal is little more than hot slop in a bag. It'll keep him full, but it tastes like shit, and makes him feel like he's eating wet dog food. After what Nar believes has been 3 minutes, he opens up his ready to eat meal to give it a stir. No matter how much he stirs, he still ends up with some chunks of clumped up... well, it's supposed to be biscuit, but it sure as hell doesn't look like it. Well, time to dig in. "Why are you here?" The familiar voice sends an icy wave throughout Nar's body. He nearly chokes on the glob of "biscuits and gravy" he's eating. Then, his brain catches up. Nar drops the bagged meal, and lunges for his axe. He springs to his feet, ready for a fight! The figure stood in front of him waves a hand dismissively. Nar's own face stares back at him, though it's older, and devoid of any warmth. "Save your energy. I have no intention of bringing harm to you. You have bigger problems to worry about anyway." #rp
