After a quiet tram ride home, with all th... View MoreOriginally, Asuka was scheduled to work a 24 hour shift today, starting at 6 PM last night. She was let off 5 hours early after a particularly... bad... call. After a quiet tram ride home, with all the other passengers shying away from her, Asuka finally makes it home. She finds the door unlocked, and only barely manages to muster the strength to open the door. She moreso pushes her whole body against the door to open it. Upon entering her home, Asuka finds her brother, and niece watching a movie together on the living room TV. Nar pauses the movie upon hearing the door open. He looks over his shoulder, and is surprised to see Asuka. It looks as though he's about to speak, but then, he notices her disheveled appearance, and the distant look in her eyes. No words are exchanged. Nar simply rises from the couch, and shuffles over to the front door. Asuka collapses forwards, Nar catching her into a hug. Asuka heaves a gasping breath, then begins to sob uncontrollably into her brother's chest. Nar says nothing. He only closes the door behind Asuka, then gently guides her over to the couch. He sits, and Asuka practically melts on top of him. Her form little more than a sobbing mess atop him. Nar gently strokes the back of her head, as he whispers comforts, and assurances into her ear. Beside them, Cookie glomps onto her aunt, with comforts of her own. At this, Asuka's sobs pause momentarily. Her head turns so that she can look at Cookie with one eye. Suddenly, Asuka's arm flashes out, and she pulls Cookie close to her, sobs beginning anew. That action alone gives Nar a pretty good idea of why Asuka might be so distressed right now. He'd heard there was an accident at a daycare only an hour or so ago. No details, but he'd rather not know. More than likely, Asuka responded to it. Nar's hug grows ever so slightly tighter. He even hugs Cookie tighter as well. He can't even begin to imagine how much Asuka is hurting right now. Nor could he imagine how he'd react if it had been Cookie in that accident. There, in the living room, the three share a hug until Asuka sobs herself to sleep. Then, and only then does the hug break, and Nar carry his sister to her room to tuck her into her bed. #rp
