Despite this, he held his own. "We are not the same confederation you fought then. Just because we choose not to show our capabilites, do not think for a moment that we are weak. he would stare her down, before turning. "I had thought things were finally starting to change. That maybe we had finally ended all of this. I suppose old habits die ha-" Flams eyes would widen. There was a crack of Gunpowder. ---------- Outside, the crowds were soaring, as if they could feel their queens anger rolling through them, causung them to scream, and start throwing garbage at the confederation, bottles, increasingly large items the confederation guards would back up, raising their arms, pointed at the crowd. "Back up! This is your final warning!" Between all the pandemonium, Joshua could feel something. Perhaps its an instinct he inherited. A warning, a preminition? Danger. Through the crowd he could spot something. A frog- like pony. Hooded and beneath it all, a grin. She stared directly at him, her green eyes peircing his very soul. Something was very very wrong. There was a loud bang from inside the castle. And when he looked at the frog again, there was nothing but gore spread across the street and upon those around her. The confederation guards simply stood there and stared in wild shock and bewilderment before the crowd would erupt in anger. "They are firing at us!" "Cook them up!" "Those fucking snakes!" The mob began to rush forward with murder in their eyes. And before anything could be processed, the guards began to open fire. ---------- The Beuracrat stood over Flams body. Or rather, Grey stood over his body. His hooves were trembling. The iron in his hooves stopped smoking but for a moment for elizabeth to see his red eyes. Baked with tears, but also deep ache. Longing, confusion, heartache, greif, and a crazed madness founded by a trembled resolve. He began to shiver as the full weight of what he just did began to fully sink into his chest. The full weight of his actions bearing down upon him. Flams body lay, with a bullet peircing his center. There was no going back. "I'm sorry Elizabeth." He would say through trembling eyes and lips. "But its the only way to save her." Outside, screams and gunfire could be heard echoing down the hall. Something terrible has happened. The bearucrat took the breifcase from Flam. "Forgive me Autumn." He opened the breifcase and seemingly as soon as he arrived, he vanished with it.

There was stillness in the air around Monoros, as the statue of Autumn stood firm in the square. There were may gifts and flowers laid at the statues feet. Candles shone brightly upon the cobbled ground, giving light among the various gifts mourners have left upon her passing. From the darkness, the click of shoes hit the pavement. clicking ever slowly, methodically perhaps. The Beuracrat was a pony never destined for a kind life. Never destined for a life to call his own. He sacrificed that. At least he thought he did. His shoes would click again upon the ground to a still as he would stand in front of the monument. Her eyes seemed to glare at him from upon it. A testament to his failure. A testament to his undoing. A Testament to the life he created, then spoiled. He would take a trembling breath. He had to make a choice. He had to. He knelt in front of the altar. He spoke with shaky breath. "I warned you autumn." He would say shakily. "Dammit- i warned you. Why didnt you listen?" He knew why. And a tear found its way from his eyes upon the sollen ground. He could hear shuffling besides him. A hood. And the bipedal features. "Of all times. Why now have you come to torment me." He would say, bitterly and resentfully. The figure would remain silent. The Beuracrat growled as he looked up at it. "I did your dirty work Associate. My daughter is safe. And autumn- autumn is dead." He would say bitterly as his eyes would water lightly. The figure would remain silent. "What else could you want from me? Huh? My shoes? My soul? You have taken any meaning it could have possibly had! Just stuffed it in with a bodybag, and led her to die!" He would stand above the figure, glaring down upon it. "You could have done anything- ANYTHING to save her. But instead you watch. Like some sort of twisted sitcom!" "Why are you here? To watch me wallow in my sorrows? To torture me for eternity knowing i cant get her back?" He would stand shouting at the being. "If it werent for you- if it werent for you, maybe autumn would still be alive! Hell, maybe everypony would still be alive!" He would glare right down into his hood. Glaring at the shadowed face within. The beuracrats eyes filled with pain, anger, and mourning. The figure would remain silent. The beauracrat would let out a frustrated growl, his eyes twitched furiously before letting out a frustrated cry and swiping at the vigil angrily. The candles tipped over upon the cards and flowers left at its feet, setting them ablaze. The entire foot of the statue became enamoured with a blaze of passion that never was. The beuracrat would step back, slightly in shock with what he just did, before running into a hand behind him. The beuracrat would turn to see the associate staring at him, their eyes a crystal blue, marred with great sorrow and greif. "Your task is over" they would say simply, before his eyes graced the fire, the light of the blaze setting the blue of his eyes into a firey blaze. "Yet you have a life to live." He would say setting a bright ed rose at the base of autumns feet, crossing the fire with no mind. "You cannot stay here forever." He would say, the fire at his base beginning to cover his form. "Your fate is yours alone to seize. And to change." Grey Rays would stand confused, turning towards commotion from the castle. But as soon as he did, there was nothing left but a red rose. There was shouting from the castle. The blaze had caught attention. But by the time the guards would arrive, Grey had vanished. All that was left was the resiliant red rose, standing unouched by the inferno that raged around it.
