Feel free to respond or comment, not sure if this is "canonical" yet. But probably// Aurora stood her ground, her hooves digging in as she widened her stance for support. She was focusing, magical power building within her body. The energy following in a way she'd never before experience. It started just at the frog of her hooves, up through her fetlocks, and along every muscle in her legs. The electric energy burst along her plot and flanks, along her spine and belly, and up through her chest. It gave her heart a short palpation before arcing up into her neck, along her jaw, through her eyes and to her sparking horn. There was a galvanism, created from the magic aura and the makeup of her being. This magic was sourced from the soil itself, and cut deep like a hot, razor-sharp knife. Said knife carved into her soul, slicing away small parts without needing to dissever much. Aurora cried out in pain, the scorching heat within becoming too much, and her horn began to glow and intense red. Then, at its pinnacle, once the energy had culminated at the top of her horn, she released the spell. A magic, Eldridge dart blasted through the air, sending both dust, and Aurora, flying backwards. The dart broke the sound barrier, arching heavily and seeming to singe the air around it. The grass below turned to a trail of smoldering ash. The bolt of arcane energy made contact with the target. A shadowy figure...a much darker version of King Artemis. A version she'd never met before. But his hatred was nearly as hemorrhaging as the spell that'd just sent her flying over the cliff she'd taken a final stance on. The magic dart flashed through the warped version of the King. The castle walls behind him painted in seeping black ichor, and this false version burned away into a magical mist.

Aurora fell. She'd stared up into the distant sky, her blackening vision growing ever deeper as she fell into that metaphorical well. The last thing she heard was the whips and whirs of the wind around her. Moments before shed make contact with the jagged boulders below.

Then, she awoke. Aurora sat up suddenly in her bed and gasped for air. Her vision wavering for a moment before taking in the single lit candle at her desk, just moments from burning out. It was so far, but as her vision became accustomed to the dark, she'd realize her dream had affected her in the waking realm. Her heart beat faster than the clop of trotting hooves, her mane was matted and fur soaked in sweat. She had tears dripping along her cheeks still, not even realizing she'd been crying. Besides desiring a shower, and trying to calm down, she'd taken in one last thing; her horn was singed. As if she'd actually cast the spell, but looking around she found no damage anywhere in the room. To those outside, before Aurora had awoken, may have seen bright light cast from below her door and through the keyhole, along with out of her window. She'd cast a magical flare, and luckily that's all it was. Shakily getting to her hooves, she moved to grab a few items, and made her way out of the room. A cool, late night shower ought to help...
