View More//I may be a judge in the beach episode event, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to make a post of my own! (Don't worry, it's not counted in the judging, so I'm not in the running to win the prize! This is purely for fun!) Whenever Nar and his buddies went to the beach, he usually preferred to stay on the sand. Usually, this entailed either him digging a big hole, or getting buried up to his neck in one. Unfortunately for him, that wasn't the case today. As on the trip to the beach, Juno brought up the idea of one of the group going surfing. Despite the fact that Juno had experience skateboarding that might translate well to surfing, Nar was chosen instead. When he tried to object, Asuka responded with "I thought you liked thrill-seeking? Don't tell me you're suddenly afraid of the ocean!" Now, an hour later, with the blazing sun beating down on his back Nar paddles out into the surf on a rental surfboard. He's not even sure he'll be able to stand up on the surfboard, much less ride a wave on it. Regardless, his sister called him a coward, and he will NOT let that stand! Looking out onto the horizon, he sees what looks like a promising wave forming, and makes his way out to meet it. As the wave begins to form, Nar swivels to face the beach, and hops up onto his board. The sudden jolt of the crest of the wave forming behind him nearly knocks him back into the water. He manages to keep steady as the wave grows in size behind him. His confidence growing with it. His heart begins to pound in anticipation as he begins to rise up the wave. He half-crouches down to steady himself as the surfboard bucks underneath him like a mechanical bull. The wave begins to curl over from above, and suddenly, the world is but sea spray, salt, and whirling water. Nar's mouth begins to widen into an excited grin. Endorphins rushing to his brain in response to all of the stimulation. He begins to whoop, unable to contain his enthusiasm. Hey, why is the board tipping- In an instant, his vision is obscured by bubbles, and his ears are filled with the sound of rushing water. His back slams into the wave, causing him to tumble underneath it as his board shoots up into the air in front of him. After a brief twirl through the surf, Nar is gently deposited, face up, onto the beach. His surfboard neatly sliding up beside him. From behind, a group of voices all shout "Wipeout!" in unison. He lifts his head to peer backwards, only for another wave to crash onto the shore, and his face. Scrambling to his feet, Nar grabs his board, and coughs up saltwater onto the sand. He glares at his friends, who stare back, all grinning. At this, Nar thumbs his chest with a fist, and points the fist to his friends. No word are exchanged, but they all know what it means. Asuka shifts on her beach towel with a sigh. "One of you get ready to drag him out of the surf."
