With the w... View MoreToday was going to be a great day! Moving plans have been finalized, and a house tour is planned for tomorrow. Nar, and his family want to have one last outing in Vanhoover before the move. With the water parks opening up just last week, it was pretty obvious what they all would do. At least, until Nar realized his old swim trunks didn't fit anymore. No matter. A quick skate to a department store, and he'd be back in time to leave, no problem! While on his way to the department store, Nar receives a text from Asuka, causing him to stop. He moves to the side of the sidewalk to take a look. Looks like Asuka is asking him to buy some snacks, and drinks for their trip. Smart thinking! Nar was actually going to do that anyway. As Nar stuffs his phone back into his pocket, he hears a quiet voice behind him. "Um... Hi." He pays it no mind. Probably someone meeting a friend behind him. He goes to start his music back up, only for the voice to call out again. This time, it's a fair bit louder. "Excuse me!" Nar's ear twitches. Wait. He thinks he recognizes that voice! The moment Nar turns around, his mood instantly sours. His only response is a cold "I thought you went back to Neighpan." Standing before him, Aki gives a slow shake of her head. His cold response has caused her to visibly shrink. "I-..." She begins, but seems to have trouble continuing. She swallows hard, then begins again. "I was going to, but..." She trails off. Nar prods her with a quick "But?" He can see Aki starting to tremble. After a few more seconds of silence, she bursts into a shout. "But I realized I love you!" She was looking at him expectantly. Internally, Nar sighs. She probably thinks this will be like some of the shows she watches. Where she just professes her love, Nar accepts, and they go back to happily ever after. Unfortunately for her, reality was not so peachy. Nar scowls, all the emotions he'd worked to overcome flooding back to him in this exact moment. "Yeah? Is that why you broke up with me over e-mail?" Aki's lip quivers, and she lets out a soft whimper. "I didn't want to! My sister coerced me into doing it!" At this point, her voice is practically a shriek. People are starting to stare. Nar can't say he didn't expect that to be the reason. From the brief time he spent with Aki, he'd learned a fair bit about her family. None of it good. Yet, though he feels he shouldn't blame her for breaking up with him, he can't stop himself. "All that work we went though did nothing for you, huh?" Aki's frown deepens. "Nar... Please... I didn't want to..." Nar folds his arms with a grumble. "Could have at least broken up in person." The floodgates are opened. Tears begin to flow freely from Aki's eyes, though she manages to stop herself from letting out any cries. "Nar, please! I love you! You're the only person who's ever really cared about me!" Nar feels a twinge of pain in his heart. He almost reaches out to pat her shoulder, but something in his mind stops him. Let her face the consequences of her own actions. Without a response, Aki throws her arms open wide, and steps forward, trying to hug him. Nar uses a hand to gently push her away by her shoulderblade. "Aki. No." She stares up at him, eyes wide, and welling with tears. "I'm already seeing someone else." A distraught wail fills the air. Aki collapses to her knees, and begins to sob uncontrollably on the sidewalk. Nar can see people glaring at him now. Great. Now he looks like an asshole. A pair of young adult mares approach. One kneels beside Aki, comforting, and consoling her, while the other stands between her, and Nar. She opens her mouth to speak, but Nar waves her off dismissively. "Don't bother. I'm leaving." Then, in an instant, his rollerblade's motors kick on, and he quickly weaves around the mare, and down the street. His arm quickly reaches up to his ear, so he can tap his ear buds, and turn on his music. He wants to block out Aki's cries as soon as possible. #rp
