6/19/2025. One day since beginning of expedition. I've set up camp for the night in a stable highway in layer two of the Astral Highway System. Granted, there isn't really a day/night cycle in the AH... View More6/19/2025. One day since beginning of expedition. I've set up camp for the night in a stable highway in layer two of the Astral Highway System. Granted, there isn't really a day/night cycle in the AHS, save for the occasional highway here and there. I went in yesterday to begin a search and rescue expedition. A 10 year old Colt Scout by the name of Tinder Woods is thought to have entered the AHS VIA a door located in a clearing in the woods around Ponyville. The AHS is no place for those without proper training, and experience. Much less a child. It's an endless plane of chaos, and nonsensical dangers that even an experienced explorer can fall victim to. It's easy for someone with no experience, or training to go deeper, and deeper in, putting themselves in more danger. Trying to find someone in here is about as easy as finding a grain of salt on the beaches of Lunar Bay. Damn near impossible. Just about the only thing Tinder has going for him is what he's been taught as a Colt Scout. I find myself trying to step into his shoes. Think the way he would. Like my friend Juno and I were taught to when we were Colt Scouts almost two decades ago. What kinds of things would I be looking for? How would I alert others to where I am? How would I look for a way out? Then again, almost none of the things they teach you in the Colt Scouts would help someone in here. After all, your body doesn't tell you it needs things like it does back in the material plane. There's no telling if he has the sense to eat, sleep, and drink like he would normally. I'm writing this log not because I expect it to be found. If I perish in here, or succumb to astral sickness, I doubt anyone will ever find this. I'm writing this log because it'll help keep me focused, and sane in this plane of madness. Solaris, I'm writing like some dude in a Lovecraft novel. After I rest for the night, I'll resume my search. With any luck, I'll find Tinder before he starts suffering from Astral Sickness. -Nar Yakushi #rp
