First... View MoreToday is all hustle and bustle in the Nar household. He's the host for Thanksgiving this year, and he's determined to become the default! Throughout the morning, Nar has been working tirelessly. First, to make breakfast for himself, and Cookie. Then, to prepare his share of the food for Thanksgiving lunch! When the first of the guests, his parents, arrive at noon, Cookie greets them with excitement, and hugs! Then, his father immediately heads to the kitchen to help Nar finish his cooking. Over the course of the next 10 minutes, guests trickle in. Not many, mind you. After his parents, it's his sisters, then Roy, and finally, Ruby. With neither of the two having particularly good relationships with their own families, the Yakushis wanted to make sure they could still celebrate the holidays with one! Great food, and great fun is had by the family, but time seems to fly by for Nar. Before long, the family finishes up their celebration, and prepares for their holiday 'ritual.' As a group, everyone heads to Kisho's restaurant to open it up for the evening. Despite being told they didn't have to help, both Roy, and Ruby tag along! Now, as the sun begins its descent from the sky, the Yakushi family works Kisho's restaurant to provide food, and company for those who need it this holiday. A banner out front reads "We are open. Come spend the holiday with our family. No payment required." In the front of house, Betty, Hiari, Cookie, and Roy take orders, and bring out food and drinks to customers. Betty working the counter, Cookie helping with drinks, and Roy, and Hiari running tables. In the kitchen, Kisho, Nar, Asuka, and Ruby prepare food. Nar loudly cracks jokes, so that the guests in the dining room can hear him through the kitchen window. Every so often, he pauses to chat with a guest from the window, having to be pulled back to his station by Asuka, or Ruby. Spending time with his family was always great, but this was Nar's favorite part of holidays! He loved getting to give back to his hometown that gave him so much! #rp

I just wanted to say I love seeing your long form narrative posts on the wall and the character interactions and scenarios you write! I read all of them and they’re cozy, especially all the hockey coach ones as someone who grew up with a youth hockey coach dad! :’)

I appreciate it! Been developing these characters for years now, so I’m glad to see people like where I’m going with them. Fair warning though, I do like to write dark stuff on occasion. No telling when I might drop something mildly disturbing out of nowhere.
