It's quicker than the p... View MoreWith Hearth's Warming coming up, Nar has been extra busy with deliveries as of late. Now, he doesn't work for a company directly. He's more like a doordasher, but for packages. It's quicker than the postal service, or a shipping company, but at the cost of a higher price, and a size limit on packages. Even still, the app Nar uses has been booming with deliveries as of late! So much so that he's already hit his maximum allowed hours for this week! (The people who run the app refuse to pay more than 2 hours of overtime. Even during the holidays.) With nothing to do, Nar is spending his day at home. Finally taking some time to rest after being on the move all week. He didn't realize just how worn out he really was until he plopped down on his couch this morning, and nearly couldn't get up. After making himself a light brunch (a bacon, and egg sandwich, which is light for him), Nar sits on his living room couch, and boots up his switch to play something casual while he eats. Then, after he's done eating, he might take a nap. After letting his food digest, of course! "Papa!" Cookie calls from upstairs. "What, Pumpkin?" Nar responds, looking up from his switch. Cookie does not answer. For a moment, worry begins to well up in the pit of his stomach. Then, a thought occurs to him. Cookie is at school right now. Hearth's Warming break starts tomorrow. So, why did he just hear her voice? "Pumpkin?" Nar calls out again, setting his switch, and sandwich down to stand up. He makes his way up the stairs. There is still no response. Thoughts race in Nar's mind. Did he forget to drop Cookie off this morning? No, he did. Maybe it was one of her toys in her room? No. Sounded too clear to be a toy. What if... Could it be someone, or something trying to trick him? How would they have gotten in without him noticing though? Wait. Aki. She's broken in before. Maybe she somehow managed to escape from jail, and broke in. Nar quietly heads back downstairs, and reaches into his satchel for his adventuring axe. Once it's in his hands, he slips back upstairs. Placing one hand on the doorknob of Cookie's door, Nar prepares himself for some sort of ambush. He takes a deep breath, then mentally counts down from three. On one, he flings Cookie's door open, and shifts to hold his axe in both hands. There's nobody there. The room looks exactly as it was left this morning. A quick sweep of the room, and the closet tells Nar nothing is off. Maybe he's just stressed, and tired. Brunch can wait. It looks like he needs a little nap first. #rp
