The force nearly knocks all the wind out of the hi... View More"He-ey! Congrats big man!" The rumbling voice of Ryuji Firefang bellows in Nar's ear. The red dragon's tree trunk of an arm slams onto his shoulders. The force nearly knocks all the wind out of the him. Despite this, Nar manages a chuckle, and pats his friend on the back. "Thanks man." Tonight, a once in a lifetime meeting is occurring. Somehow, a dozen busy schedules all managed to line up at the right time, and right place. Nar sits at 2 tables linked together in the Frontigua Tex-Mex restaurant surrounded by friends. All of his bandmates, past, and present (except Roy), Ryuji, and Steeltrap from Dragonautica, and Mandy Fullbright all sit around the two tables to celebrate the news of Nar's engagement. The amount of star power radiating from the table naturally draws a ton of attention. "Autumn's a lucky lady, getting proposed to by a guy like you." Ruby comments with a wriggle of her eyebrows. Nar waves a dismissive hand in response. "Oh please. I'm the lucky one. I would have thought the half a year she spent living with me would have scared her off. I'm lucky she was only joking when she said no. Nearly gave me a heart attack." Between bites of a burrito, Scrappy excitedly poses a question to this hangout's guest of honor. "So! Who's gonna be your best man?" Conversation immediately dies. Every pair of eyes at the table turns to stare at Scrappy. "What? It's a genuine question!" Scrappy pouts. There is no response. It takes her a moment, but she finally picks up on the looks she's getting. She just asked a question with the most obvious answer. "Oh... Right... Juno. Sorry." "Better question is, when's the bachelor party?!" Ryuji's interjection saves Scrappy from any further embarrassment. "And who's invited?" Nar leans back in his seat. Mostly to let the three tacos he just demolished settle. "Obviously every guy here, as well as Uncle Steve, and Artuo. Maybe one or two others if I think of them." Steeltrap raises an eyebrow at this. "What about your buddy? Roy?" Both Nar, and Juno react with visible disgust. "After the shit he pulled during the last guys' night? Hell no." Ryuji interjects once more to save the conversation from turning sour. "Got any plans already?" The response is instant. "Gonna hit up the old spots in Vanhoover, then, end it off with some mini golf." Nobody is surprised. The conversation returns to more mundane topics for some time. At least, until Mandy brings it back to the eventual wedding. "Let me know if you need a tailor for your tuxedo, Nar. I know some fashion designers who would LOVE to work with you." She offers, already pulling a set of business cards out of her purse. "I'll think about it. Want to keep the whole thing fairly low-key, you know? Don't want the media trying to snap photos the whole time." Juno nods his head sagely, and Mandy rolls her eyes. "Tell me about it. Beside Nar, Ryuji gives his shoulder a light jab. "Aww c'mon. Don't you score last in every band popularity poll? You think you'd have to worry about the media either way." This causes Nar to quip back with "Hey! I placed third once!" Which Asuka shuts down with a teasing "Yeah. The one they held a week after Scrappy joined the band." Nar concedes the point, but his stance remains firm. Following 6 tacos, and about a plates worth of chips, and cheese dip, Nar has had his fill. He, and his friend pay their bills, and say their goodbyes to return to their busy lives. It's been a long while since Nar's gotten to hang out with everyone like this. He'd forgotten just how much he missed it! #rp
