Never in a thousand years did Zerathur think he'd see her again, and yet she's just there, finishing the work on the psi-emitter. And there she has been for the last thirty or so hours, except for small breaks, none of them to rest. Strange, isn't it? To spend countless months fantasizing about such a moment, imagining thousands of different possibilities for how things would turn out, for what to say and how to act. The protoss built intricate structures of thought, but they had all crumbled to the ground the very moment they saw one another. And instead of words and actions, he limits himself to being near, the dull blue eyes occasionally glancing over her work before focusing back down on the hefty book he scribbled on. Maybe this is how it's meant to be, this inner discussion is futile. It has always been like this, why would the current situation make it any different? This is how he exists, this is his way of life, no wonder why the thought of letting the waves carry him was so tempting when still young. Life is like a river, smooth and steady for some but treacherous for others, and he's been through both situations, but never did he paddle to keep the boat straight... Instead, the river just pulled him along. And there was a time that he finally fell into it. But something pushed him back out. Weakened by the cold embrace, but somehow free of the disease that stung the back of the head. A drop of a dark blue liquid fell onto the parchment, staining the book and blurring the lines. Only then did the chloromancer notice the pain that grasped around his mind and the thick blue blood that slowly ran down his nose. Too much thinking. Zera set his pen aside, closed the spellbook, and waited until the slight shiver came to an end. "Um... Tink? I'll be right back, the plants need to be watered." And with those words, he warped away in a twist of lightless blue flames. Coincidently, just as he said that and was 'consumed' by the illusionary flames, Tinkora finally did it. The psionic emitter has been repaired. This little golden orb hummed lightly and energy slipped out its cracks in waves strong enough for her, a non-psionic creature, to feel a slight tingling on her coat. Working through its insides was an absolute pain, with mechanisms, wires, and tiny little crystals heavily packed tightly into cramped space. To her knowledge, there are so many things missing and so many other things inside of it that don't make sense, this machine simply shouldn't work the way it does, but then again, that appears to be a theme in Protoss technology. Waste was there, showing her some holographic schematics for other pieces of its Maker's work, and using those to guide her in working about the object. "... I need cheese." Mumbled the probe.

And from the sky, a swarm of giant flying beasts covered the moon and the stars with their vast numbers. Acid and parasitical fiends rained from above, ravaging the forests and the great golden buildings that still stood after the blast. Or so she told me. The Maker never really talked about that day, she and her brother were always rather mysterious as to how they survived and all." Machines are not meant to feel anything, but at that exact moment, Waste did. The focus of a thousand eyes fell before it, but it couldn't see anyone around, the sole exception being @Tinkora. The probe floated up three meters above the ground and quietly scanned the surroundings for a moment before slowly floating back down to eye-level. "Weird. Well, here we are." And so they arrived at the end of their half-day journey. It took some time to get there, but not nearly as much as it usually would take to get from Canterlot to Ponyville, a journey usually made by train. In either case, there they are, standing just outside the large wooden manor that once housed the remnants of the Protoss kind, a place that both Waste and Tink have visited a fair amount of times. The household itself looked abandoned and degraded from the outside, walls roughened by the weather and windows boarded up from the inside, but the garden wasn't as uncared for. In fact, it looked quite neat from here. There were even a couple of additional grown trees that Tink hadn't seen before, all of them rooted in different areas. Waste floated over the low stone wall and pulled open the small gate that separated the property from the road. "I smell cheese from this place, not good cheese though. Shall we go in?"
