View MoreFor the second time in just over two months, the members of Attack on Mango find themselves sitting around their bassist in a hospital room. Thankfully this time, his wounds were undoubtedly, non-fatal. Though he certainly looked like that might not be the case, with a majority of the right side of his body swathed in bandages. "I'm surprised they took you off of the strong stuff in under a day." Asuka comments, while inspecting the various IVs her brother is hooked up to. "I told you guys, he's a freak of nature." Exclaims Juno. "Hey, c'mon! It was just a few layers of skin! It wasn't that bad!" Nar rebukes. A smug smirk slowly forms on Asuka's face. "Bet if we peeled back the bandages we might see some bone." The others then go silent. Way to kill the mood, Asuka. After nearly a full minute of silence, Nar speaks up. "So. Did you come here to scold me? Or what?" In response, Asuka's face warms significantly. "No. I get why you'd think that, but no." She then gently places her hand atop his left hand, giving him a warm smile. "You saved a kid's life. A week in the hospital for you is better than a lifetime of misery, and grief for a family." Then, Ruby chimes in with a cheerful. "Yeah! You probably looked really cool doing it to!" She then gives Nar a slap on his right shoulder, causing him to cry out in pain. Instantly, her face drops, and she recoils. "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to! Are you okay?!" He appears to shrug it off, but his face remains a grimace. Juno sits up in his chair, and shuffles a bit before addressing his friend. "We came here because we gotta get the band meeting done today. Royal Records is waiting on us to give them a date for a meeting. We gotta respond tonight, or we could lose them." At this, Nar's grimace appears to worsen. "Do we HAVE to take their offer? I l know they're the best record label in the country and all, but..." He pauses to wince, and inhale sharply. "We got this far practically on our own. Hell, we've had two world tours! We can reach the top of the national charts on our own!" Another wince, and sharp exhale. "There's no guarantee we'd make it that far on our own, Nar. We're popular with people in Vanhoover because they like the kind of 'out there' music we make. Our fanbase across the country is relatively small. Hell, I'm pretty sure the only fans we have in Ponyville are your parents, and some of our old classmates." Juno counters. "That's because we've focused so heavily on Vanhoover! Once we get out there, I bet we'll rise in the charts pretty quick! And we have more fans across the country! Hell, I know a few who came to Vanhoover just to watch the Battle of the Bands!" Nar's response is quickly pounced on by Asuka. "Sprout doesn't count. She's a friend. She's obligated to support us." Nar shoots her a quick, pouting glare before he continues. "Think about it! If we take up this offer, we're just selling out! Royal Records might get us to the top of the charts for a bit, but they'll probably hit us with an extremely unfair contract so they can milk us dry! We'll be miserable!" Things go quiet for a few moments as the band weighs their options. Afterwards, Juno leans forward. "Tell you what Nar. Let's meet with Royal Records first. See what they want from us. Then we'll decide if we go with them, or go on our own, deal?" "Fine. But I'm not spending our trip to Canterlot in another bougie hotel." #rp
