View MoreAs a Vanhoover resident, ice skating during the winter festival was practically a requirement for Asuka, and her bandmates. As Asuka, and Juno skate with their newest bandmate, Scrappy, they talk about the city, and all the best places to take her when the festival is over. While in the middle of a conversation about local pizza places, Asuka is interrupted by her brother sliding up beside her while skating backwards. "They're wrong. Polo's is the best pizza place in Vanhoover, trust me!" He then pivots to face forward, and speeds off to complete another lap of the pond. Asuka rolls her eyes as she turns to Scrappy. "Ignore him. He's been skating since he was a kid, and he likes to show off. Oh, and Polo's is a kid's arcade and parlor. He's probably trying to trick you into going there alone so you look weird." Later in the afternoon, while everyone else sits at a bench, enjoying cups of hot chocolate, Nar takes Cookie out onto the pond after she begs him to teach her how to skate. For a while, things are going well. At first, Nar teaches her how to keep her balance, slow down, and stop. Then, he does a few laps with her while holding her hand so she can get used to turning. So far, very cute. Then, after their third lap, Cookie breaks free of her father, intent to complete a lap on her own. As the two near a turn, Nar reaches over to try and gently take her hand, but she pulls away. She's going to do this on her own! Cookie begins to lean to turn, but she ends up leaning too far, and loses her balance. Nar tries to grab her before she falls, but is just half a second too slow. Cookie's feet come up as she topples to the ice, hitting her head against it pretty hard. As she slides into the snow bank beside the pond, she lifts her head, and a high-pitched whine fills the air. Nar gently scoops Cookie up as she begins to cry. He lifts her to lay her head on his shoulder, and gently caresses the top of her head as he softly re-assures her that she'll be okay. Asuka stands before Nar can even turn to head back towards her. When he approaches, he slows to a stop, and hands Cookie off to her so she can take a look at her. While Nar comforts Cookie, Asuka briefly examines her forehead. "Other than a goosebump, she should be fine." With this, Nar takes a seat alongside his bandmates. Looks like it's time for a break. #rp
