View MoreAnother thing Asuka dislikes about Ponyville is that with it being such a quiet town, any news is big news. She's been seeing the story about Edwin Gourd and his family ever since everything that happened yesterday. She's not even safe from it in her hospital room. Even now, after her parents had finished their nearly 5 hour long visit, the news station on the TV is still covering the event. The anchors, and reporters must have said the word "Tragedy" at least 20 times now. Not that it's not an apt description. None of the Gourd family survived. Amelia, the wife was shot by her own husband. Edwin was shot by police, and poor little Jody passed away before his head injury could be properly treated. Thankfully for Asuka, the door to her hospital room opens giving her the perfect opportunity to turn off the TV. As soon as Asuka sees who's entering her room, he face lights up. "Cookie!" She coos. Her niece shuffles up to her bedside, and reaches up to wrap her arms around her aunt in a biiiiiiig hug! Close behind, Nar, and Juno enter the room. Juno closes the door quietly behind him, and the two take up seats near the bed as Asuka pulls Cookie up to sit with her. "How you feelin' Ms. Hero?" Nar greets with a mischievous grin. Asuka rolls her eyes in response. "Oh hush." Nar gives her a light, playful punch on the shoulder. "Seems we Yakushi siblings just can't stay out of trouble, huh?" At this, Asuka grins, chuckling darkly. "Yeah. It's almost like the world wants us-" She stops herself before she can finish. She's not going to make that kind of joke around Cookie. She doesn't know about her aunt's 'darker' side. Beside Nar, Juno reaches into Nar's satchel, and pulls out a little plastic bag that appears to have some sort of lumpy, candy balls inside. "Before you freak out, I asked your nurse. She said one mega sour was fine." Asuka thrusts a hand out. Her fingers demanding Juno place one in her hand. "Sol, PLEASE. I need to feel something other than the meds. With a nod, Juno removes one of the candy balls from the pouch, and places it in her hand. He then takes two more out. He hands one to Nar, and keeps the other for himself. Cookie tries to ask for one, but Nar explains that it's much too sour for her. She protests, and Nar rubs some of the sour powder off of his piece, extending his finger to Cookie. She licks the powder off of his finger, only to shake. Her face puckers so hard Asuka thinks her eyeballs might pop out. Cookie then buries her face in her aunt's side, as if she will protect her from the sourness invading her mouth. Asuka can't help but chuckle. After popping their own pieces of candy into their mouths, the three friends engage in a conversation about their upcoming D&D session. Juno has to take breaks, and spit his out every so often. Asuka's face remains scrunched the whole time she eats the mega sour, but Nar just sits there smiling like his mouth isn't being stabbed by a million tiny sour needles. The masochist even reaches for a second one after he finishes his first! Once Asuka has finished her sour, she asks Cookie about her day at school. It's then that she learns that Cookie has homework to finish. Moments later, Cookie sits in her aunt's lap with a pencil in hand, and a little worksheet on the bed's tray in front of her. Asuka helps her niece as she writes out words, and numbers on a little sheet of paper. She just might be able to make it through her weeklong stay in the hospital if she gets to see her niece every day. #rp
