View MoreIt would seem the Vanhoover Stormblading scene was much larger, and more popular than Nar remembers the one in Ponyville being. After getting his team registered, Nar has opted to check out one of the events taking place tonight. It's an A class bout between two teams on the cusp of reaching S class. He figures he should see what he has to look forward to before he cleans up the team that's trying to claim Rink Way. The venue is an old, outdoor amphitheater on the edge of the city limits. Away from the vast majority of the populace, but not too far outside the city. The amount of people here to watch surprised Nar. He expected at most MAYBE a few hundred. Instead, this amphitheater that holds around a thousand was nearly full. Of course, the majority that Nar could see seemed to be Stormbladers themselves. However, he also saw plenty of spectators who didn't seem to be Stormbladers. He doesn't remember every seeing anyone who WASN'T a Stormblader at any of the events back in Ponyville. Was it really that popular in Vanhoover? In the middle of the amphitheater rests the setting for tonight's bout. A series of steel mesh spheres arranged in a vertical ring. They all appear to have openings that would allow someone to pass through all of the spheres one after the other. The amount of equipment here to make such an event possible boggles Nar's mind! They'd never be able to pull something like this off in Ponyville! The sight of such an elaborate setup causes excitement to rise within Nar's chest. He wants DESPERATELY to be one of the people in there at some point. "Hey!" A voice pulls Nar from his thoughts. When he looks to the source, he finds a team of five Stormbladers watching him from one stair down. It seems they've noticed that he's here alone. "Newbie!" The only unicorn of the group calls out. Judging by his outfit, demeanor, and the fact that he sat in the middle of the team, Nar guessed he was their leader. He sees another of the team holding a phone, the camera aimed at his skates. Probably just scanned his chip for his stats. That's why this guy thinks he's a newbie. Might as well play the part. "Huh? Do you mean me?" Nar feigns stupidity, pointing to himself with a quizzical look on his face. "Yeah, you!" The leader responds with a painfully fake, friendly smile. "This your first Stormblader event?" He asks, venom dripping in his voice. Nar nods his head slowly. He sees a very dour looking pegasus next to the leader eye him carefully. "I'm just hoping to get some experience with things before I challenge anyone myself." Says Nar. The leader's smile becomes malicious. "Well, you know, you get better experience if you do things yourself. We're E class, just like you. How's about after this bout we-." The leader is cut off by the hand of the pegasus clapping down on his shoulder. "Hey!" The leader growls. "What was-" The pegasus continues to stare at Nar as he cuts the leader off again. "Look at his skates. Without your scanner." The leader leans forward as if to get a better look. He squints his eyes momentarily, then, they widen. "Uhm." He stammers. "Never mind." The, the whole team, save the pegasus, turn their attention back to the event. Nar gives the pegasus a friendly smile, but he knows the pegasus has seen through his act. He must have noticed the dozens of small scratches, and nicks in his skates. As well as the parts that have been repaired, and the obviously used wheels. When the pegasus turns back around, another voice catches Nar's attention. "Hot dogs! Get'cher hot dogs here!" When Nar looks, he sees a man carrying a large heating bag around his stomach with a sign that reads 'HOT DOGS 3 BITS.' Pfffft! Three bits?! For a hot dog?! What a rip off! Thought the multi-millionaire. Regardless, Nar was kinda hungry. "Yo!" He shouts, raising an arm to wave it. "Hot dog!" At the same time as the man reaches into his heating bag, Nar pulls three bits from his satchel. The man removes a foil wrapped tube from the bag, and tosses it up to Nar, who lobs the bits back to him in return. When Nar catches the foil, he unwraps it to find a decently sized, and warm hot dog, with one packet of ketchup, and mustard. Well, this will have to do for now. He'll stop somewhere for real dinner after this event was over. For now, he wasn't going to let his hunger spoil his excitement. #rp
