View More8 PM, Canterlot. Following their monumental victory over the Canterlot Symphony Battle Orchestra, Attack on Mango has decided to vacation in the capitol city for a little while before they set out for their next challenge. Today, the band decided to let everyone do their own thing. While Nar went to hit up some of the local skate areas, and Juno went sightseeing, Asuka, Cookie, and Scrappy were having a 'girls day.' This morning, they had breakfast at a nice cafe, followed by a day at the spa, and a walk through a park. Now, as the sun begins to set, the band arranges to meet for dinner at a famous diner in the city. Scrappy leads the other two as they excitedly talk about the diner, and it's reputation. Scrappy states that she knows a shortcut, and leads the group down a side street, pointing to an alleyway ahead. "The guys will probably take the long way. We'll beat them there by a few minutes." She chuckles, then turns to enter the alleyway. The group gets a few steps into the alleyway, and Asuka's instincts start screaming. They're in danger. Asuka grabs Cookie's arm, and opens her mouth to tell Scrappy that they need to go back. As she turns, a figure emerges from the street, blocking their exit. Then, 5 more figures in hoodies emerge on the other side. Each of them are armed with some sort of weapon. Be it a knife, blunt object, and... Is that a homemade crossbow? "Well well well. Lookie what we've got here boys." The lead figure, a pegasus chuckles. The figure with the crossbow lifts it, aiming it at Asuka. Asuka shuffles Cookie close to herself, and lifts her hands in the air. Scrappy is frozen stiff. 'Alright Asuka. Just give them what they want, and get everyone out alive.' "What do you guys want?" Asuka's voice is calm. As if she'd practiced for this kind of scenario many times before. Because, she has. "Your money. Just hand your purses over, nice and easy." Asuka nods, and removes her purse from her shoulder. "Scraps." She calls out, but Scrappy doesn't respond. Asuka goes to toss her purse to the muggers, only for the crossbow handler's finger to slip. Asuka gasps as the bolt digs into her shoulder. The handler's eyes widen in surprise. The lead figure tries to play it off. "Do like your friend here, and hand over your purse." He points his knife at Scrappy, who only then begins to shakily reach for her purse. Then, Asuka hears one of the muggers near the back let out a whistle. "Hey, boss. Think we could get a little more than money out of 'em?" Asuka's training kicks in. Her eyes search for an immediate escape route. She begins to formulate a plan. She'll turn, and go for the groin of the figure blocking their escape, grab Cookie, and run for it. Hopefully Scrappy can- Asuka hears the sound of metal against a skull. There's a hard THUD behind her. As she turns her head, she sees a blur of yellow move past her. Then, a metal bat is swung, and the lead figure stumbles backwards, narrowly avoiding it. Cookies arms go up. Asuka scoops her good arm under Cookies arms, and lifts her off the ground as she turns to flee. Cookie lets out a trill cry of "Papa!!" Asuka screams Scrappy's name, snapping her out of her daze. She turns to join the two in their flight, as Asuka makes sure to keep Cookie's eyes away from the alley. She doesn't want her niece to see just what her father is capable of. As they sprint out of the alleyway, Scrappy seems to regain some sense of composure. She calls out from behind. "I-I know where the nearest guard station is!" Asuka allows her to take the lead, as Scrappy takes Cookie from Asuka's arm, and carries her in her own arms. Asuka can only hope Nar doesn't get himself killed before they can get the guards. #rp
