Th... View MoreAs the queen would move through, the next book she took was "The Las Pegasus Massacre." The cover itself was a held picture of a nearly pristine sky-city with tall buildings, behind it almost seemed like the sun pushing its rays from behind the clouds, as if they were mourning the city itself. This book it seemed, had pictures to go with it. "Las Pegasus, the City of Dreams and what was once known as the City of the future, was a city nearly wholly operated by the Flimflam brothers at its height. Combining earth pony engineering and Pegasi clouds, it was chosen as the capital for the new confederation because of its beautiful desert scenery, its high population, and a deep aspirational dream of what the future could bring by combining magic with technology. The Flimflam Brothers, flim having been the CEO of the Flimflam company and Flam, formerly being the cities Mayor, developed the city, and put their heart and soul into its development. Ponies from all around marvelled at the brothers work, and together the two were nearly unstoppable in the city, as more and more ponies took to the clouds to see the future for themselves. As rising tensions began to form between Monoros, and The Confederation, Equestria, and The Crystal Empire, the then president of thr confederation, Flam Flimflam invited the Monrosian King and Queen, Knight Wolf and Elizabeth, as well as Princess Sparkle and Princess Flurry Heart to the city to discuss next steps to ensure that no war would come to equestria. These peace talks would have included a dinner from Las Pegasus's most renown chefs, and a documentation of the event from dosge junctions most esteemed librarians. Upon arrival, the Monrosian delegates were met with a parade celebrating theirs and the others arrival, though it seemed that some of the population were opposed to that, shouting anger and protest towards the King. The delegates arrived at the newly built confederation senate hall and flim and flam among others went into a meeting room in private to discuss matters. What happened in that room isnt entirely clear, and those who were there and survived will not speak on the matter. What is clear however is that an spell from an unknown caster was apparently cast onto Queen Elizabeth. This action greatly enraged Knight, who instead of workinf to resolve the situation, opted to take things to the extreme, growing in size, and shooting dark black tentacles from his form. Monrosian aerial units began an invasion on the city, as important delegates were quickly rushed towards an evacutation airship. No lives were spared as generators that kept earth ponies and unicorns on the clouds were destroyed, leading to ponies, not on an airship falling through the clouds ro their death and pegasi who still were above it, getting skewered and slaughtered up above. The entire city began to slowly tilt and fall, crashing into the ground, crushing ponies who did not take an evacuation airship beneath the rubble. The airships too were being attacked by monrosian forces, and it was only luck that Confederation aerial units were able to save the delegates airship before monoros could kill them all. The city fell from the sky, the entire city and its inhabitants were wiped from the map in a show of great violence. Flam (as his brother did not survive the massacre) was left to pick up the peices. The Las Pegasus Massacre is considered the key point for the start of the Great War between Monoros and the Confederation, a war that spiraled into something so big with the massacre of countless confederation citizens, that it ended in a draw, due to confederations development of the Megaspell and its deployment, forcing Monoros into a treaty. Leading to the current state of cold war that we see today. Between the confederation and the empire.
